Haven't been too star city for ages, are the speed bumps bad, my car is fairly low on coilovers and I have scraped it multiple times and only owned it 5 days ha.
I'm looking forward to the meet too but am personally looking forward to the meat more....
I've already got a set of dampers. The previous owner of my car sourced them and included them with the car, I just wanted to make sure they were the uprated cup ones before fitting them to my Cup.
Thanks anyway
Oh I was told they were different and on the K-Tec website they state the rears are the same but for the Front shocks they sell 172 (non cup) and 172 (cup only) shocks
I have just bought a Clio 172 Cup.
I have a set of genuine Renault Shocks to replace the K-Tec coilovers that are currently on the car.
How can I check they are the correct ones for a 172 Cup and not a normal 172, is there any point on the shock that I can measure.
Thanks
Matthew

Just bought a 172 Cup and will get pics up tomorrow.
Bought it off Ricardo earlier today and he recently bought it from Scott so it's been on the forum before.
Got a few plans for it which will be revealed soon in a...
Have to admit I love it already, couple small things with it, main one being it's currently on ktec coilovers, they're not a nice ride and also too low at the minute so keep catching but that'll be sorted. Anyway I guess you'll see it in a week :)
Yeah was only joking bout the age but ;)
The cup being more to insure would certainly make sense but no it's £300 less than a ph1 and £400 less than the others.
Not too fussed about the climate control at all to be fair and love the blue, had 4 silver cars now in a row.
Appreciate the advice...
Well I don't have a car full stop at the minute so getting there would be difficult ha, I have been looking for a couple months though now so haven't rushed into getting one :)
Yeah I said just a 172 but it's actually a cup that I'm going to look at anyway. I have spent a while considering my...
I was previously on the Corsa C forum and we were at a meet when a member did exactly that, came to the meet sat in his car for 2 hours (at least 6 spaces away from everyone else, on a laptop so we didn't think he was with us), then the next day he came online complaining we were unwelcome.
So...
Hi all, I'm a fairly new member, been browsing the forum for a while but now looking to buy a 172 within the next week. If all goes to plan I'll be able to attend the meet.
I'm sure you'll be welcoming :)
EDIT: I hope you'll be welcoming ;)
I bought one of their B16 Manifolds about a year ago, the item was brilliant and worth 4x what I paid.
Can't see the quality of the exhaust systems being any worse.
1.8 SRi I think had slightly stiffer shocks but don't quote me on that. One thing I do know is they were 15mm lower than lesser models. I had one for almost 2 years and loved it, especially the fact that nobody knew Vauxhall made a Corsa 1.8, it caught a few people out thats for sure. Even the...
Corsa 1.8 sri, nice car really, definitely a sleeper and with a 0-60 of 8.0 I don't think theres a hatch that's as 'warm' with a lower insurance group.
