g3 and then g10 if you want a proper job. there is quite a difference between 1k lacquer and the different brands - for instance acrylic lacquer gives a shite finish. and as for 'normal' primer - youve got filler primer, etch primer, conventional primer, plastic primer, and plastic filler...
better using filler primer on plastics as its quicker to get a better result.
G6 rapid cutting compound works better than tcut as it gives a smoother finish, and the shine can be easily brought back with poorboys professional polish or something similar.
and halfords lacquer really is...
tbh i just took the specs off the porter cable website in america. so not 100% positive on that myself.
most of the comments in here are about rotarys, which im not going to buy as most of my paint is so crap it would burn through in seconds. im on about a random orbital polisher, which is...
tbh with the exeption of an orbital sander going up to 15,000 rpm cant see any difference. still got a 5mm tolerance on its bearing like a porter cable with soft start.
cheeky git!
im just trying to kill 2 birds with one stone lol. the threads ive seen over on DW show them working with the sander almost permanently on its slowest setting. now the cars coming off the road for 3 months gives me some time to detail it ;)
seen a couple of people on detailingworld using a random orbital sander as an alternative to a pc polisher. tbh i would prefer a random orbit sander as it means i can use it as an actual sander as it has alot greater rpm speed. however a pc has a rpm of about 2500-6000. whereas almost all of...
you know it makes sense ^
polished my engine with autosol to remove any imperfections. then with nxt tech to refine the finish, and then srp to finish. and it doesnt need doing for a couple of months at a time
technically if you have a decat your car is no longer road legal, and as such your insurance is nil and void. thats why i will personally be opting for a sports cat as i had a bit of bother with the insurance company over sprayed alloys.
i wouldnt bother repairing the bonnet. approximately £130 off renault for a new one, and then it would need spraying.
the bumper looks like it could be repaired, i know they worked a minor miracle with my 172 rear bumper when it had a bump.
so in your situation i wouldnt go through the...
you can go to renault and buy a new one, but unless you've got a standard exhaust i wouldnt bother.
on mine, i cut the 'X' at the bottom of the mount out, and inserted a universal mount which i got from halfords. think it cost about £2 and has lasted far longer than the renault one, whilst...
yeah hes right. not a quick job to get it out.
theres a company in the north west called leathertech who repair all type of leather fabric and plastic, so if its damaged might be worth trying to find someone similar.
the only thing you have to do is to make sure you read the small print very carefully. when i bought my car it came with an aftermarket warranty and it does say in the tiny print that any broken component is replaced with a refurbished/second hand part if available unless you pay the extra...
£550 would get you fk konigsports which can be firmness adjusted with ease really. but adjusting heights requires the car to be jacked in order to get to the coilover themselves. so its more of a semi-permanent adjustment. if you just want FKs ive seen them for £430 but people claim they're too...
best bet would be to take it to an independant garage to get the error code (to determine if its the decat) then you can have the light reset at the same time. only costs me a fiver at my local garage with CLiP but im always down there lol
