Not much you can do really on ice is there, good thing no other cars were involved. Even with ABS and ESP working over time (which Im sure they were) on ice once it goes it goes.

I have only ever touched the mirror controls, and that was leaving the dealership when new. lol I dont change heights and no one else drives it so im fine.
Same with windscreen washers they should not be adjustable they should be static!
all I do is use some matching coloured small rear mats out of my old focus to go over the front ones, hence the standard ones dont wear and keep clean.

Also I believe it would be a bumper off job or at least work from underneath so if you have some ramps you might be able to figure it out when you look underneath.
make sure its spotless when it goes in, that way they will probably realise you take care and do the same?? thats what I do.
also ask them to drop shut the bonnet not push and to be careful. 12K service aint far away... start worrying about taking it in for that now!
Personally if I was ordering a brand new one Id wait to get a brand new one not one they can "source" and one they have to change to your spec. But its up to you.
