looking good! problem is with taking the cover off completly is that because you've painted it black will kinda blend in with the rest of the engine bay. I'd leave it with the cover if possible. Loving the polished lettering too :)
i can get the exact match to the turini colour now from autopaint after i badgered them to find it out for me, so getting a match isnt a problem. if anyone wants details drop us a pm and i'll pass on details :)
DH172 on here had his done, and apparantly it is indeed a perfect match
i give mine an autosol / megs metal polish every month just to keep it from pitting, and just before a show. guessing it may go to every fortnight/weekly when the gritter trucks come out. but it only takes 10mins max to give it a going over
yellow pages - machine polishers. then just take your car down and see how much they want. i paid £80 to have my three components polished like the above picture.
obviously the only downside without buying spares is the downtime whilst it gets polished which is about a day-2 depending on...
you can repaint the centre cap yourself - just get hold of the correct paint. ixell (brand) code: 205-110 and just spray it back up for a nice finish.
bonnet can be tricky so just ask around for a quality bodyshop, and in my experience when it comes to bodywork you really do get what you pay...
you can go to halfords/B&Q or a similar hardwear shop and purchase a little straight coupler and rubber tubing that will extend it.
if your struggling i know halfords sell it (although its relatively expensive) as on my old car i had to extend it for ease of fitting a v6 spoiler.
girlfriends having the problem with the dark photo background on hers, will they be sending new settings out for it, or is it worth taking it back for a complain?
i took mine off without removing the front bumper.
find an old butter knife or similar in the garage. then slide it into the recess and you'll feel the triangular wedge clip things. diffiuclt to describe but if you put the knife in and then flick it downwards they should just pop out.
the top 'pops off' lol and its got a circular battery in iirc. i need to change mine as well as im having to press from close range before it actually works lol
i'd budget for £200. however if your not particularly fussed over quality you could get it done for half that.
personally in your scenario i'd use it as a good excuse to go stealthsport and get a carbon kevlar one.
