    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

Pete, I'm sorry to say, but I'd tend to disagree with that. My personal obversation (only an opinion) is that you were taking the slower corners a bit too tight.... the black clio was clearly keeping a wide entry to these corners and keeping his minimum apex speed higher, resulting in a higher...

Serious failure on track, Driveshaft, Diff or Box?

Just catching up on this.... We had a similar problem when we modified our race car, driveshafts popping out! If you've chewed the cv cup....You need to open that gearbox up and get it cleaned, there is guaranteed swarf in there even if you have found all the needles.

Anglesey Race Report - August 2014 Anglesey is quite a long way from where we’re based and it’s similar for most other people in fact. With that in mind, we decided that rather than setting off in the early hours of the morning we would travel up on Saturday afternoon, and stay at the circuit...

James, donington tin tops is only 3 weeks away and it's going to be a grudge match between us and the Collins Clio for the Class B win..... another fast Clio in the mix would make it doubly interesting!!! You know you're tempted.

Yeh, happy with 1.18... just know there's still a bit more to come from it. I'm pretty sure the bump steer isn't an issue, we spent enough time modifying the subframe that it betta had be! I don't think we need to change the hardware too much any more, it's just setup work. Having 3 drivers...

Burpspeed Version 2: Race Car Build

Ooooh, sorry to see this mess Tony.... We've got 2 spare 'boxes in the workshop, one in bits and one together (with a damaged standard diff), so if you want anything let me know. They're of no use to us currently

Cheers! Still plenty of pace to come from it... it was set up quite neutral at Oulton in the interest of learning the track first but it needs to be a little more alive in my opinion. We took the whiteline rear ARB off when we fitted the gripper diff, but now we're thinking the handling is a...

Yeh, precisely that...... We had problems at castle combe last year when it got a bit hot and we didn't spot the coolant boiling. We blew it up and didn't finish the race! So we're making sure we catch things like that before it damages anything

How many people on here actually race? Pics and championship

Here's a few pics of ours. We've done a number of races in CSCC TinTops and are continuing to do so this year. There's 3 of us who share the car, so, for a "team" the TinTops works out a little better for us vs the Tricolore Trophy. A full history of what we've done over the last 2 years is...

    Toastfrenzy's Tin Top, some say...........

13,000 in 3.5 years?? That's pretty good going Pete, how long is your commute and do you do it every day? I've been covering about 2500 per year for the last year and a half now, but I don't cycle every day. 3 per week is about average, with my journey being 8.5 each way.
