Sorry didn't make the thread clear. The previous engine blew because I was an idiot. The replacement lump put in about a month ago. The engine felt strong and better than previous. Just don't understand enough about the dephaser to know if it fails will the engine just die like it did ?

My missus was well happy when I broke down in the rain on a dual carriageway - she said you're 30 and should get a sensible car. I love my 182 though

Yeah it was my fault. Didn't do my research. I had the cambelt, water pump and clutch changed but didn't know of this pulley issue. Will it be a case of just fitting a new pulley ??

Mine has this issue. The above comment has confirmed it for me. It's not noisy until the oil warms.

What is the one above lowered on as that looks immense. Love the colour when clean. Standard exhaust won't be standard for long as one is coming jan. What panel filter shall I get ?

Drove to the folks place to give the 182 a well needed bath. Sorry for crap pics I need to sort some paint work issues out next, followed by wheel change. Then a slight drop :)
