If you don't already own a dedicated powerflash, then I would strongly advise one.
As for makes and prices ...its all down to budget.
You are looking for one that gives you full MANUAL/TTL control.
Metz/Canon will obviously be the best for you.
I think your droplets are suffering because of...
ok next you will the need to factor in INVERSE SQUARE LAW....I.e flash output level.
If you double your distance from your subject you will need 4 x the amount of light???
confused yet??? lol
Depth of field is effected by F No/Focal length/ distance to subject.
so by you pulling back slightly you will increase your DOF.
Try to use a slightly bigger bowl
the centre image does look a little back focused.
In the top image is the drop on the way up....as there is a slight blur below?
Its possible its out of your depth of field???
Like fubar said try to pull back a touch thus letting us see more of the scene and also giving you more depth of field...
sorry Andy I meant a camera going straight into a hard drive recording device....something like an Arcos etc.
with something like mpeg2 or mpeg4.
You will always get a better result with a mini DV camcorder.
also why do we the heavily taxed paying drivers HAVE to slow down for people riding horses on the taxable highway???
And why do I the heavily taxed paying driver have to dodge horse s**t in order to keep my car clean on the taxable highway???
I just give it beens from my YOZZA when I pass...
I don't think hard drives are anywhere near the quality a mini DV cam is.
Besides I think he already has a camcorder.
as for the action cameras I can vouch for there quality and they are excellent.
I love driving the sheds and transit vans at work all day, then to get all cleaned up and jump into the 182.
Feels brand new everytime.
Everyone should do it regularly, just drive a van or something then jump back into the clio.....feels ace.
go to www.actioncameras.co.uk
we use them for work...awesome company to deal with.
and imho the best kit at reasonable prices
ideally if its quality you are after, I would discount HD cameras as the quality still isn't there.
I would go for a camera ( bullet) type, hard wired to a camcorder...
its a FAD everyone is using.
FTW = For The Win
FTL = For The Lose
its now trendy to say something like ....."clio 182 trophy FTW"
and ..."clio 1.4 diesel FTL"
so from that you can see the person likes the trophy and not the diesel.
Hope this helps, took me ages too.
when you take frosty shots a good trick I use is to take a flask of boiling water out with you.
Then on location open it under your subject, as the steam comes out it can add a bit of atmosphere to your frosty shots.
I have some pics posted on an online site that is quite good.
£5 gets you unlimited upload.
its called fotothing, there are loads out there.
Then just give people a link so they can go browse etc.
yeah we have 6 AVID systems at work...and ditched every single one for a fast PC running elements.
Think it retails for around £65...which is a bargain.
premiere elements is very easy to use....a slight stepup from movie maker.
And checking on Adobes site...it does support most of those formats.
Not sure about Blue Ray.
most modern cameras now allow you to shoot both in jpeg and raw....
like I said before memory is now so cheap that you have no excuse not to shoot in raw.
forgetting write speeds ( which is only really relevant when shoot high speed action) you can pick up a 2gb card for under £20 now.
if you...
hmm strange worked on all my mates?
your pics look ok, but I think you need to tame the HDR process a tad and concentrate more on your exposures at the taking stage.
Make sure to get at least 2 exposures above and below what you deem to be correct exposure.
Photomatix is like a...
