That grille looks great @Louis much better
Knocks are so annoying you're right, my daily car has just developed a clonking from underneath when you go over a speed bump etc but as that's not a Clio or even a Renault i'll leave that comment parked at the side......... hope you get it sorted...
I never got the car back yesterday as they couldn't start working on it until lunch time - on a normal week, it would have been done today but of course with it being easter, it now won't be finished until Tuesday - when i'm at work - so won't get it back until Thursday when I next have a day...
I'm a bit 50/50 with that, as after it's been sold it's not 'my' car anymore - that said, if its in exactly the same or even better condition, no issue of course. If it's gone downhill I mean, I couldn't do it!
Well it's official, the gearbox fiasco has finally been resolved - but only due to the legend that is my mate and his Dad sorting me out with that last minute replacement. I did indeed collect it this morning (they wouldn't even take an extra tenner each for all their trouble even though I...
The gearbox is out of the car and should be ready for collection in about an hour, total stars and they were working until gone 11pm last night, after being at work all day, to get it out for me - so hopefully I can get it over to the local Renault by 10am to maybe, possibly, in theory get my...
That's a great figure for an almost standard car, i'd be chuffed with that......... with a milltek cat-back, ktec induction kit and engine dynamics map mine made 180.9bhp so pretty much the same!
So today has been and gone and my gearbox is STILL not there. This is just beyond belief. The almost cast iron assurance it would be there today is just utter and total bo**ocks, promised delivery date after delivery date comes and goes and it never happens. So that's it now, they've had it. 13...
Totally! Luckily it's not a daily car, if it was, don't know what i'd have done...... I didn't even mention compensation or partial refund today, kept it chilled, that will be done in writing you see when the delivery issue is resolved and the car is back. I think around the 10/20% mark and ALL...
I did this too on my daily car, the difference it made was amazing, so much crap was stuck on it all and came up like new............. nice little touches there again
The gear layout is this one @MrBlonde as I bought a couple of spares too...
I can remember being in English at school and a lad had a 'mobile phone' - first one in the class! Everyone crowded around him. True story. I feel old!
Exciting news regarding the gearbox fiasco, I was absolutely guaranteed it would be delivered to the local Renault where the car still is today, Tuesday, day 12 of the car being up on the workshop ramp (after i phoned up and made clear my thoughts and frustration with the matter last Friday)...
Thanks Andy! That sounds like shocking service yet again, for something small, i'd be just the same - throw it in the bin and walk away muttering. But the more I read and hear about them, I really am getting a bit nervous now that the box that eventually does turn up is going to be a load of...
