I think if you combine two pro perks, got a feeling it's the reloading one and lightweight, it speeds up your aiming and scoping. Not 100% sure as I only remember something coming up on screen when I unlocked them.

TBH I think you're going about it wrong, looking for a cheap 172 is only going to see you buy a lemon and trust me even the averagely priced ones still have a lot of expensive and f**king annoying problems. Minimum I'd be looking at now is around the £2.5k mark for a "decent" Ph1, anything less...

Try changing the settings for the sound scheme from within control panel. It's not a sound event I've seen before, but I'd guess it's controllable in there if anywhere.

Most people you see on Level 10 Prestige on PS3 have used some dodgy save game files ("fixed" in the latest update) to boost their level, they don't seem to understand about matchmaking and the fact that their rank doesn't mean they don't still suck at the game.
