Aye...He though he could smeel trouble the run b4 but he though it was a bit of oil out of somewhere else. Pity as he has a different final drive now....good for 220mph although he obviously wouldn't have hit that high
Chris
The link doesn't work m8y..but if it was Jordys VW he didn't spin off..he was winding up for a top speed run and his headgasket went..not sure of the damage yet as I haven't spoke to him yet :(
Chris
Ahh sorry m8 I didn't click the link. It is a 1.8t running an audi TT 4wd setup. It is in the latest issue of Performance VW. It really is amazing what he can do..used to be 2wd but 'simply' put a 4wd system in...made the manifold to suit etc
Chris
Yep here it is m8...0-60 2.6 secs....0-110 in 6.7. And it is his own work..not a 60k+ car like some of the others. One car had a 40k diff ffs! lol
I had a couple of the extortionate burgers which were ok...worth it..I'm not sure lol
Chris
I saw a couple of clios while I was there. Saw a valver with dark turbines, saw a trophy and a williams 2 as well.
My m8 was running in his mk1 scirrocco Storm. A bit unfair really as he was in the same the same class as andy forest and Norris Designs Evo....he won all his races and got a...
If thats the 'dave' I think it is then I would say it is just the CSLs revs (which is obviously just hanging back to film it) and the camera that makes it look slow.I'm sure a cup doesn't lean like that without a bit of speedo..ironic thing about the wife comment is that his missus hoons round...
As said the main difference is the actual garage you go to. I have used Topgear in Padiham for years (as does 2live) and I have never had a problem with the service or the product. Infact they are now using a better quality SS than mine which has lasted 4 years of very hard use. Paid £250 for...
How can that even be right...14.2 with a rear wheel drive 900kg Type R engine? Ben who used to come on here got a 14.5 in a bog std type r with about 300kgs more and 23bhp less...and less traction!?
And how is it a clever air intake..wouldn't it be more clever to have air flowing directly in...
Very nice m8. I think the mic makes it sound louder than it actually is tbh.
This is mine but only 80 > on a recent trip to Germany...seems to pull very well even after a ton. Had a low limiter at the time but now back up to mid 7k again.

This would destroy an M3 from a roll without any problems. Similar/more power and more torque and lots less weight... Probably 8 or 9 secs 0-100 and I suppose only gearing will affect top end.
Chris
130 lbft? Thats well down fella...aren't they 144 std? I'll have to nip over and have a doo Paul.
Mine made 188bhp with 182 manifold, decat/exhaust BMC filter with cold air feed and std ecu. Remapped on same rollers 2hrs or so later and he got it to 195.4 with 175ftlb. 6 months later totally...
300lbft is great but if it is 150 up to a certain revs...300 for a short burst then drop like a rock it isn't quite the same as 300 for a decent stretch. And you can hardly compare remapped cars..how about adding a turbo to the M3 to make it fair?!
Chris
I agree with Tom on this. A lighter car with same power and I would assume a fair bit more torque would/should be quicker. Just because its a ferrari doesn't mean its invincible (cue the "I know what car I'd rather have" comments)
Chris
I have seen 2 Corsa VXRs an I have to say I prefer them. Some of the styling is a bit ott but in general they look better imo..plus the engine will help things along.
