Basically this letter everyone's getting is just to get you to pop into your dealer so they can check the catch and lubricant or replace it depending on condition.
Yes they did the big recall a while back but they never changed the design they just renewed the catch and now their a couple...
So I know the usual thoughts on this is "just some over priced stuff that dealers sell" but I work for a dealer so can get it for free.
Im just wondering if anyone has any experience with it? Does it give good protection, is it durable? Etc.
cheers bobby
Theirs also what suspension your using and how low you have it set. Plus how much camber, toe setting and have you cut away the bit of metal near where the bumper and wing joins? All these can have an effect.
Just for reference.
My 182 with janspeed/Ktr super sport (unsilcenced centre section) with decat made 94db's
And a friends 182 ktr ultra with unsilcenced centre section and decat made 104 db's iirc. So this one would fail at some tracks on static test.
If you want a relaxed enviornment for your first time out, don't do this. People usually go out all guns blasing as they've only got 15 mins to have a blast. For a relaxed environment book a normal open pit lane track day or one of the novice days that msv do.
I ended up with a colour I didn't want, took it in p/x for my Megane. Couldn't be arsed to wait for the Megane to sell or a colour I wanted to come up in a p/x deal lol.
He looks to know his stuff yes, ex master tech from Renault. I would trust him to do my belts.
Pretty sure I've seen him on here a couple times aswell.
