What about between the stub and the beam then? My friend had a rear bearing fail on his 172 not so long ago and when we stripped it down their was this spacer which was definitely around the 20mm mark not 3-4mm
I'll have to get a picture next time I See him.
All the benifits of spacers so wider track, better looking etc.
Probably be safer than some types of spacers
And will probably cost £20 max to get the parts rather than spending £70-80 on decent spacers.
So I'm thinking of doing this and just wanted to get some opinions on this.
My plan is to get a couple of the spacers that are already between the discs and the rear beam and double them up. Iirc their 20mm thick so it will be Like adding 20mm spacers. I may also put some camber shims in...

Also how do you balance them? Again easy/hard job? Would the person mapping do this?
Re: ArcticClio182...progress..

Re: ArcticClio182...progress..
Sound like you like Your bulbs ;)
Not sure really mate depends what direction you want to go with it, looks wise you've pretty much done all the little touches, have you considered a 3/4 plate?
No worries. Yeah these ones were from a phase one 172. I Would prefer the wheels to come out abit more but i don't want to go any wider than 25mm on the spacers :(
Cheers dude :)

As for spacers its Got 25mm fk on the front with -2 degree camber
And no spacers on the back at the moment.
Pictures were taken in the north side of the...
I've Got mine on the softest setting, I'm a bit paranoid about going to the stiffest setting as I've heard it makes the car oversteery but i think im going to try the medium setting soon, See if I can tell any difference.
