So I haven't done an update for a very long time. Several reasons but mainly I'm skint on time.
Couple of days ago I chucked on the RS sill trims. Nice and easy but don't look right without the sport skirts.
Tonight I finished fitting the 197 wheel but the cruise control connector has...
That is something to do with a wiring fault I think. Maybe a loose connection. Should be one though if it's all soldered!
makes me want spacers, maybe I'll have to get myself on eBay again
This is the gearbox one. If you turn the car on a try and start it immediately before all the lights start to go out you should get a couple of seconds of turn over before the immob stops the starter.
this is the gearbox mount
check the earth next to the top mount and then the 2 in front of...
saw this the other day and nearly sent him a message about the horrendous information.
How can he have replaced the tyres recently but still manages to get the wheel size wrong
There are varying levels of wiring preparation in the mk2. Some have the engine loom but not dash, thee other way round is common and no cruise wiringat all is normal as well.
Pedal switches should no different.
different squib.
dont know if the mk3 is prewired for cruise or not. Get the wiring diagrams on eBay and have a look. All will be revealed then.
100% was our problem. I also had this problem on another dci when the uch failed but all the windows, locking etc also bust at the same time.

in this thread you can see. Swap around 4 and 5 and see if the problem goes...
Not a straight fit. Fixes to the wishbones in a different way.
dci arb is 24 mm and the sport is 25. Petrol non sports are generally 23 so you've already got a bit more meat. Widetrack on the dci 100 can't be done as I understand due to the driveshafts but RenMatt will be able to confirm
It's its intermittent and all your interior locking, wipers, lights etc work then it's likely the black relay in the fuse box. Little one closest to the engine. Our dci has same problem and this has solved for £12
I looked at those and even posted in 1 of them previously but none of them answer the above. Wanted to sand the cowling away because it will drive my sparco on a 2 mile commute each day not self centring!
how long does the cowl take to wear away otherwise as I might hold off until I'm doing...
Wheel apparently does to self centre when it's freshly installed but it does after it wears.
what exactly is it that wears, the steering wheel or the cowling as I'd like to sand the hell out of it before putting this new wheel on
also heard of using a washer but the size needed isn't anywhere
In quick terms. No. This is standard procedure for insurance companies. They have made an effort to settle the claim and put you in a position to buy another car. It's your perogative if you want to dispute the offer. As you've gone through a credit hire firm it's highly unlikely they have given...
When you turn the ignition to the second click the ECU has all the inputs of when it's running. The cruise light will show and buttons show function without the engine running

If you click on the code number does anything come up. It should tell you what status 1 means.
In the above screen shot et266 is clickable to give info about the status meaning
Not a functions test but this bit where it says steering wheel buttons. Try something you know works like the brake pedal switch and then have a button press.
Odd that the speed limiter doesn't work!
If you can get a video Sean that would be great.
may need to resync the key. There's a guide for that. Otherwise check the gearbox earth behind the left wheel isn't corroded or loose.
last port of call would be swapping the black relays over in the fuse box. Swap over the end 2, they are all...
If you go into the list of status it should show - + R or O for the cruise control buttons when you press them. Also limited or regulated for speed control.
You could take the switch out and put a wire between a2 and a3 which should turn cruise on. I found on Lauren's digital dials that the...
J&R are a good company. Used loads of bits from them and they are all still top notch years later. Warranty as well
Raz, those shafts have the same torque put through them as a sport!
