Flippin eck mate, why bother? Mine is booked in next week at GDI near Cambridge. £152 I think it is and that's with all filters (or performance air filter cleaned if installed) and oil. They use Silkolene Pro whatever fully synthetic 5w40 which is about £40 if bought yourself.
As for all...
^^^^^
Mine is the same, doesn't have spoiler pack. But both spoilers can be added later if required.
Personally I prefer the FF rear spoiler in looks. Neither have any actual affect on performance / handling. I do like the look of the front one though and I'm thinking about buying one...
My last car was an ex-demo Leon Cupra. It had 5000 miles on the clock when I bought it. I then had 30,000 miles and over three years of relatively trouble free motoring out of it.
Unless you buy from brand new you're never going to know how a car has been driven so there's no point worrying...
I think it's safe to say that generally a 182 will not 'flow' over bumps as a softer car might, but it is what it is so there isn't a lot of point worrying about it!
Er, aren't they supposed to be 33 front 29 rear or something? I run 33/30.
Anyway, yes I find it quite a hard ride (ooooeeerrrr!) regardless of tyre pressure. Are you cupped?
When SEAT offered me an extended warranty on my Leon Cupra they wanted silly money (£900 was their first figure) so I said no thanks. Then within weeks the water pump failed and cost me over 350 beer tokens! (mostly labour - pump was cheap)
Shortly after that I part exchanged it for my 182...
Try ignoring the trippy and work it out manually. You will probably find that over the course of one full tank you will get far less than your trippy is telling you, so in your case that's very bad!
Fill up the tank then work out your average MPG based on the fuel you just put in. Litres...
It's a little confusing. Mine has less features than the standard one in the wife's new Megane (even though they look identical apart from the badge)and doesn't sound as good either. Cabasse is actually French for 'Donkey Shite'.
Because it's fun, that's why!
Apologies for the delay, some actual work to do....
I don't think I'm in the minority, or possibly even the majority?? Truth is I'm confused by the depth of your argument so you're obviously much more intelligent than me ;). And you're right I haven't tracked...
Jealous? Of what? Your leased fatmobile? OK I admit it!!! ;) Forums are also full of people saying "When I've got my this, when I've got my that, when I've got my Ferrari, when I've got my penis enlarged...blah blah blah" thankfully they aren't often on this one. I think it's you who sounds a...
Shut up!! Of course we can, that's the whole idea of this thread! You don't have to be Fernando Alonso to appreciate pace. And sure the MK2 isn't perfect, but look at TVR, Aston and not forgetting Lotus! As for your stupid 'traffic light warrior' comment, of course you never drive...
I seriously doubt it, especially with 16s. Most of the problems come when the car is under load i.e. body roll in cornering or braking. Lowering / stiffening the ride will solve that anyway. Get it lowered first then you'll know for sure.
Excellent. Good choice that man. Now you're thinking with your head and not your c*ck. ;) It may not be lightening in a straight line, but it will out handle anything your mates have got.
.... and I reckon Fox rims would look fine if that's what you want. 5 or 6 spokes would be my preference on a Clio, but f~ck what anyone else thinks, it's you that will be driving it.
Er, are you actually reading this thread? Plenty of advice I think. Bigger rims does not necessarily mean better handling, in fact it's the opposite in most cases. If you just want bling, go for 17s, no lowering really necessary. If you want best of both, go 16s and get your shocks/springs...
You must be 'up North' or somewhere where cars are cheaper then, as I didn't find one less than £9250.
The only reason they recommend 98 is to get the best performance. It wouldn't hurt to run it on 95 but it defeats the object of getting a hot hatch.
Well you'd have to look at what's around at the time, but I'd guess nearer £9k.
The 172 isn't second best at all. Just a little older. Same driving experience though, all in all. Still a great car.
A 182 for £7600? As a 182 owner I bloody hope not! I think you'll be lucky to find a good one for that price, but happy shopping.
Have you considered a slightly earlier 172? Spare wheel well not a problem then. Almost identical performance too.
Totally agree with this comment. However, I do think it's a shame when the majority of 'modders' spoil the image by acting like fools in their (lets be honest) fundamentally lesser cars. It's one thing to want to look different and take pride in your individual motor, but another to drive...
