Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news - NEW DETAILS #1779
It certainly looks that way. Sales figures will tell if people are as concerned/offended/repulsed as you seem to be over a car you have no intention whatsoever of buying.
I must be blind as I think it works quite well LOL

Maybe the standard single pots are not up to the job then. Brembos might be an option in the future?

Has English subtitles. Looks like the normal Clio handling traits are all present and correct. No mention of the brakes which might suggest they're up to the job.

Your 20 year old Williams would likely crumble to dust in an impact that would leave the passenger compartment of the newer Clio intact and probably still with functioning doors.
Any other ludicrous comparisons to make?????
Read this thread from start to end.
What you're looking to change above will address 10% of your problem. Reading this thread and opening your mind to learning and improving will address the other 90%.
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news - NEW DETAILS #1779
That is pretty much the ONLY even slightly negative comment amongst several hundred words, and you say enough said without ever having seen one let alone driven one.
FLOL...you are a lost cause, go and buy a Fiesta, I'm sure you'll be...
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news - NEW DETAILS #1779
Got followed a few miles down a B road by one of them today, bizarre looking little thing, the Aston grille looks so odd on a shoe.
i'm surprised at how comparable the two clios above look size wise. Considering the mk2 vs mk3 looks like...

Interesting about hydraulic bump stops...sounds as though it'll be night/day different.
Looking forward to the press reports on 14th to see if that's actually the case.
By your own admission your fluid was not up to scratch, you boiled it, meaning your pedal pressure cold not reach the pads and discs effectively.
Then you blame the pads for the poor braking performance?
As said already, for mostly road use DS2500 are a bit over the top. I'm running Mintex...
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news - NEW DETAILS #1779
Agreed...it's horrendous! Looks playful enough from those clips though, seems to move about a bit.
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to detailing and paint correction/restoration at any level, but have always thought that putting a hard edged straight line anywhere on a panel during the process (at whatever stage) would ultimately leave some form of compromise in the pursuit of perfection...
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news - NEW DETAILS #1779
Ah ok, is that what the question was?
I did suspect that but didn't think it possible someone could have such a low IQ and still be able to use a mouse.
So they've been sent the original invoice that clearly states it's a black edition, and it was insured as a black edition, but with all that in hand they're saying 'no, it's not a black edition'?
Really?
Insurance ombudsman maybe?
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news - NEW DETAILS #1779
More CS logic at play in here...something that is entirely 100% optional (and a gimmick at that) is a key deciding factor in determining if a car is worth considering or not.
Brilliant.
Hmmm...does appear so which is odd...didn't think it was. Although that shows as a zero cost option...since when have Renault done anything for free? I think that should have a '1.' next to it as it's part of the cup pack.
Agreed, there's no question at all if the sole buying criteria were looks. The op was asking if the suspension mattered to the way they drive...which it doesn't really. If it did, why do so many spec the cup pack then change the springs/dampers to get lows/stance? If the cup packs are that good...
Of course you're going to say that (like referring to my spec being poverty)...you only buy/sell cup packed, recaro specced, speedline wheel shod cars so have a vested interest in pushing what you sell.
It's all opinion anyway, the op needs to try the different options and then decide for...
To give you both sides of the 'argument'...I've done over 20k road miles and 4 trackdays in my non-cupped 200 and have never ever once even slightly felt that I needed something firmer beneath me.
I came from 120k miles in a 172 Cup so thought I might miss the 'sharpness'...but I truly...
LOL
Proper tool indeed. I've been driving six months, so I can drive.
No, you actually can't.
Justification for the sky high premiums the young pay for high group cars...right here.
Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news - NEW DETAILS #1779
I too saw one today...took my buddy to Wilsons in Epsom to pick the replacement for his S2000 up. They had a demonstrator parked outside.
I can honestly say I thought the exact opposite to you. Looks so much better in the flesh, not...
I've always liked these. Mate had one for 12 months so spent a fair amount of time passengering...only things I could ever really criticise where the moulding line on the plastic scaffold pole-like door grab handles along with a digital clock from 1982 that Toyota persevered with for decades...
