test drove a 172 earlier and it kept cutting out at very low speeds and at low rev's, and it also 3 times just stopped doing anything at all but the rev's would stick it about 1500 with the immobiliser light on? turning it off and restarting sorted it out..
Whats the problem?
I recently bought a heap of a white mk1 valver because it had a 2.0 init which i was going to use in my own car (things changed and it went into my daily monnaco blue valver) The person who owned the heap of a car recently had hte belts and lifters done (with the engine out the car i should add...
Going to be selling it soon so gave it a good clean/clay and light polish, came up great! (not to sure on the gold wheels, better than the chorme/poilsihed rubbish that was on it before!) Done a straight swap for them, i was going to paint them black, but a few people said the gold looks good...
I finished my turbo today (ish) i put a 1 way valve on the brake servo line and the brakes are shocking.
now im confused, if its a one way valve, then how does it get vaccum? if no air can travel that way, isnt it the same as just blocking the brake servo hose up?
my manfiold has a very small crack init (goes when the cars warm) i want to fix this, but i dont think you can weld cast?
someone said braising? whats braising?
on my dci the first few times you turn the key it wont start, but then it will, what happens when it doesnt start is nothing (sometimes here a relay clicking)
when the car is warm it starts 100% off the time.
the battery earth isnt very good and isnt clamped very well but it is making...
just bought a dci 65 (brilliant on fuel i must add!) however it has both outer gaitors split and by the sounds of it the have been like that for a while!
im guessing that all the drive shaft's are the same? just want to know as going to the scrap yard/ebay/wanted section will probaly be...

right today i had an idiot come and look at my civic i have for sale, he opened the oil cap and looked inside it and there was the tinyest bit of watery oil, it was a bit browny white, inside the engine though of coruse is fine, however being a 'professional mechanic' he said it was 100% gone...

right since the suction mounts are now banned from track days i'd like to get myself a bullet cam setup, i have no idea where to look/what i need or how good the quality is! or even how much a good quality camera setup would be, so anyone have any advice please!
i want to convert my valver to 172 track, this involves using the 172 hubs, however i dont want to lose my wilwoods, is there brackets vailable? ones that use the standard 172 discs?
this is doing my head in, when i first got the laptop it would sit at 65mbs, i searched on google and found a way to fix it so it done 130mbs, since then ive re-set the computer to how it was new. i cant for the life of me remember what i done to fix it, anyone know?

ive jsut got a mk2 pf1 and its got a jvc cd player init, i wwant to put a standard unit back in, will i have any problems swapping it to a standard one?
