For a dedicated road tyre for the summer they're f**king fantastic. Especially considering the price, 400 quid for 4 in my size is a bargain. Compared to 600 for conti's :(
Yes, but 479 quid is for the F4 non IS version, which compared to the 2.8 IS Sigma is about 5 stops (effectively) slower.
Its still a good lens. Hell, the Canon 100L macro is one of the best lenses Canon make for portraiture and thats a macro...
Black people. Seriously though, if you're shooting big stuff during the day you need big lights. If youre shooting a person in a dark alley you can get away with a single speedlight. Its all relative.

Forget photoshop, buy lightroom and that should be all you'll need. Once you've learnt the basics of Aperture/Shutter speed and ISO there isnt really much more than can be taught (theres loads of other rules that can be used regarding framing etc but theyre things that can be bent...). Just...
2 is plenty enough. Alien bee's are awsome, but probably out of your budget. I'd look at 2 cheap flashes, 2 radio controllers and 2 umbrellas for shoot through. Along with lightstands you should be able to get htat for 250 quid.
Oh im not saying why are you going as in its a s**t hole, im saying for what reason? Just because you can? Or is it on the back of research? As above, grab the 100 - 400 dust pump, should serve you well and you wont need a TC. If anything I'd think about having two bodies, then you dont have...
