my friend works in a bodyshop on a kind of self employed basis, and so me and him took up the challenge of fixing my arch's, we did it in 3 days but we worked long hours, it would normaly take about a week i think, onto the pics -
Arch 1 -
rust cut out
plate welded
primered...
just finished this manifold for a member on here (the pulley cover is also his and he already has a rocker) it was hard due to funny shape and still needs cleaning in the gaps, but im pleased with it :)
and heres 2 rocker covers both for sale
and all the stuff sitting here atm
i bought a tb gasket from them for the hybrid, when it turned up it looked the saem as that, cut out by a toddler, havnt even tried to line it up e.t.c.
i think stan at apd can do you an itb install for quite a bit under 4k all in. turbo conversion could probably be done for less than 4k to if you sourced your parts from other places/forums e.t.c
i.e turbo on site = £1k
you can get a new/refurbed one for £700
or a second hand one in good...
i totally agree with the comment above, yer its a great idea and would keep you grinning all day long, but £6k is ALOT of money, if you add the price of the car, say £5k, then thats 11k... now think of the cars that would buy you..
go down the bodie route if you realy want to spend all that...
