Do you have a system disc that would of came with the laptop?
Or is there a partition on the laptop which has the system image on that you can boot in to and restore from?
It may have changed, last time i bought an Xbox 360 title when it was released it cost me £45/50 i'm sure. Could have changed, but i lost interest in the s**t box years ago.
Just played BC on my PC.
For 4 years old, it ran it very well with very very pretty graphics! Can't wait for the PC version of BF3, which will be better!
You can get keyboards they react quicker etc, but generally PC games with have a walk button - so instead of just slightly pushing up the stick, you would hold ctrl and w and you would walk.
No i can't, games are designed to work with consols etc. PC games are designed to push the limits.
If a PC gamer was to settle for no AA/fancy lighting effects/etc etc their PC would run anygame fine. But they always want that little bit more, hence why upgrading.
A nice PC would last 3 years+...
This whole myth surrounding PC rigs costing £3k and needing upgrading every 4 days is a bit silly.
Have had my PC for 3/4 years now, the upgrade cost me no more than £400 and it plays games fine :/
Why did you buy an extreme chip?! Too much monies. Should of gone for q6600 and an overclock. I'll start my new build at the end of April I would imagine.
What CPU you running at the moment Roy? The new Sandybridges look lovely, 2500k would be me nicely. Also wouldn't mind an ATI HD 6950 (flashed to 6970) - then have 2 in crossfire when BF3 comes out just to make sure it can handle it!
Probably be next saturday. Then i'll be back there for like 4 months half way through May so plenty of time to play. Then i'll make sure my new house has decent internet when i move further south again.
Kris up for some mixes when i can? glaCe is up for it and i'm sure a few others will be.
Doesn't that show that pads are not as good?
A mouse is more skilled because not everyone has cat like reactions. You can be out aimed all day with a mouse by someone with better hand/eye co-ordination and reactions.
The consols are at limits now in terms of capabilities in my eyes.
The graphics can't get no better as they are struggling to get 60fps constant now. Look at black ops, that was made to look crap just so it could run at a constant higher FPS.
I have BC2 for the PS3, and the aiming i find is just too slow and clumpy!
Which is why BC2 for the PC should be turning up on my door step tomorrow, ready for BF3 when that drops later this year.
Going to have to treat myself to a few upgrades as well, had this PC a while now and i fancy a...
Easy way to look at it is, you know when your browsing on the Play Station - you move the pointer really slowly trying to click that button... and you go too much to the right, then to the left again, and you can't go diagonally etc. Then your browse on the PC and you move the mouse to where you...
I have an Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and a PC.
For pick up and play purposes the consols are good fun, but i have never stayed and played a consol game for hours on end. Well, maybe CoD but thats because my friends played it on the PS3.
However, for FPS games - it has to be played on a PC. A mouse...
