Not really, autofocus is much more accurate unless you've got a medium format sized viewfinder or a rangefinder. Manual focusing with SLR's is a right pita imo.

Out of interest, I bought my 3G after release on a 35 quid a month contract and it was free. Now 35 quid a month contracts require you to buy the phone for 150+ quid. Any reason for the massive price hike? Doesnt effect me really as I bought my 4 outright, but I can upgrade whenever I like...
