Just fitted Brembo HC's and Mintex M1155's with HEL braided lines on mine.
They launch me through the windscreen but get no rattles or sqweeks.
But I did have to file the edges slightly to get them into calipers!
You would have been a true Hero to me on Monday, working outside in wind, hail, rain for 6 bloody hours, without a single cuppa to :(
Mint be replacing all my bushes for powerflex items, could be handy!!
Recently looked this up:
4-5 stops from 30mph medium sort of pressure
3 stops from 80-90mph to about 20-30mph leaving time between to allow brakes to cool.
Brand new discs and pads
I've tried all sorts of breaking techniques
I had a hairy moment at a round about tonight with wheels locking up, bags of smoke to hide my self in tho!!
Fitted up Monday, went out for a drive tonight.
It's totally dry and got PE2's fitted all running good PSI.
My front wheels lock alot and it's throwing the back end around alot!!
Am almost scared to use them :S
I've tried all braking options I know, it's like constant left foot braking!
MOT'd on 4th Dec and inspected by Renault on the 28th of last month, neither mentioned anything. They did change my bonnet catch tho lol
As said I knew they needed doing, was waiting on the weather, been driving the second car so it's not seen that much road use.
No screaming and stopping was ok.
I knew they where bad just been waitin on weather to car working on them.
No cover to work under so been a pain in the ass.
Fitted some 1155's yesterday with HC and HEL Braided lines.
Never drove like a hero yet but my first impressions are looking impressive!
I think they are kinda cheap to around £80 a set.
Gave to car a massive overhaul today. Dropped engine oil gearbox oil, dog mount, serivced all the calipers etc etc...
Which included new brakes and braided lines.
Brembo HC's
Mintex M1155's
HEL Braided lines
Motul 5.1 Brake Fluid
The brakes that where on the car where rotten, litrally broke...
I add the AG Shampoo to my Snowfoam mix, extra silky snow
As a shampoo is was pants!!
Duragloss 901 and Maxi Suds are currently in my collection.
I had 205 on cup when I bought it and it used to Torque steer and follow the lines in the road like a b**ch.
Found the 195's much better for driving with.
I got H1 and H4 night breakers and free Phillips side lights from PowerBulbs for about £34 delivered.
Work a treat!
Cliosport discount to check the list!
H1 Main Beam
H4 Dipped
I fitted the Pioneer units for straight swap and then some Pioneer 13cm speakers for the rear.
Pioneer HU and am happy, minimal effort with canny results.
The Lazy mans option!! lol
