The Clio badge on the right MK2 ph1/ph2/ph3 ALL use the same badge.
If your current car does nto have holes there then someone had removed the badge and had them filled in (very common).
Only way to resolve this is to buy a badge and cut the pins and stick it...
IIRC there are kits that allow you to attatch to the existing speaker outputs which uses the HU's output signal.

Best to let it discharge... removing the battery wont simply remove any build up left in the system.
Check any fuses that maybe heater related.

RS Wheel. Remove battery. Allow airbags to discharge.
Remove clips behind wheel. 2 large clips. These need to be moved apart to allow horn/airbag to come forwards. Tricky!

172 units and 182 units have a different make of projector in them.
Probably down to the type of glass used or a slight difference in internal colour.
This will be enough to change the colour produced very slightly.
I really wouldnt worry about it !

Once they warm up there pretty much the same as the 172 ones.
I have noticed that the projector unit in the 182 lamps are slightly more purple/white.
This is down to lamp design rather then bulbs. The Osram/Philips bulbs are identical in spec and colour temp.

It must pass the MOT, in most cses it wont without a cat on.
There have been changes in the way insurance/MOT stations look at this.

As mentioned the only way to have it perfectly line up is get the bodyshop to work wonders!
Otherwise its the usual, cut, tape, bolt etc.... You do run the risk of the bulging or popping off if you do that tho as the pressure build up when going over bumps etc...
