Back on standard inlet and ECU, just the mapping to sort out for the cams now, then it's ready for it's new owner. The trumpets most definitely have not been brought on

from the 1st video, the post cat lambda is not doing what it should. At idle you normally see a rock solid 450mv, it shouldn't be switching at all
doesn't mean that sensor is at fault though, I'm still thinking pre cat lambda, but it may be an injector fault
all labour really. If it were me I'd have it apart with the parts soaking in something to break down the carbon for as long as possible, but probably a couple of hours labour in it
fit the upper bracket fully, slide the caliper over so you can fit the pad nearest the piston, slide that pad in making sure the tab on the back of the pad engages with the slot in the piston, pull the caliper across and slide in the next pad.
Stop trying to assemble the pads in the upper part...
EGR valve and boost pipes coked up. Very common, diesels need a regular thrash to keep healthy, but rarely get it as they're bought for economy so they get pansied about and it chokes them.
Ph1's have a 30% larger exhaust port, and the CNC machining on the inlet port is marginally different (it's very slight).
ph2 172 and 182 uses the same throttle body
There certainly is a difference in the maps too, infact there's several versions of the ECU with slight changes.
There's...
Jenvey make lots of different throttle bodies, none specifically for the 197. They do a 65mm and a 70mm that I know have been used before, but they're nit straight bolt on
should be closer to 40 without a lot of dificulty
you have an issue unless you're in stop start traffic and country lanes literally all the time. Most cars I see are 36-38mpg with mixed driving. I can make a cup do 44mpg with little effort
most 197's have a keyed sprocket so it's not always necessary. However without knowing beforehand you'd be guessing
I Still want to know why it's being removed
Yes, 182 manifold and an....."adapted" cat
I can work magic if you let me Russ ;) are you not allowed bonnet pins?
You won't get a chance to go in it though unfortunately. I'm selling up and moving on to the next project now. I've done all I can with this in the current direction and I'd have...
no, it gives you more throttle opening for less pedal movement. It's snake oil. Utterly pointless modification.
I'm willing to bet most that have done this are using knackered sparkplugs and run in 95RON fuel
