Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
no problem matey, just remember if ur copying and pasting DIV's to use classes on them instead of ID's :)
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
ok what id do is in your 'content' area have 2 divs that look like columns. one down the left and one down the right. one floated left, one right, then in your left column (or DIV) have your smaller divs within. if they are quite narrow...
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
i think its file > new > 'general' tab selected at the top > Basic page on the left and then CSS
dont think iv put my site on here before tho, but cheers :)
yes. the encryption does what it says on the tin, it encrypts your data to and from the wireless pc's/routers.
even though you only allow trusted MAC address that wont stop someone sneaking in and picking up your radio waves. if they arent encrypted then your bank details etc can all be...
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
ahhh course your using dreamweaver.
Well what I do is type the CSS out myself. I dont use dreamweaver to do it.
Create a new HTML document, enter your structure DIV's.
Then click file>new and create a new CSS file. once you have the...
yeh you need the software that comes with it. its not nokia software, but its a media station type of thing which your phone pics up and connects to. I dont think there is any other way to do it. altho any media station type of thing may work.
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
yep thats right mate,
You add ID's to div's within the html if they are unique, such as the wrapper, header, footer etc. and in the css you start them with # e.g #header
if you want various things with the same properties in the css you...
I am tempted to wait, but knowing O2 who knows when the fuker will be out. Nokia say July 2006 but it will no doubt get delayed as always.
I much prefer the look of the N80 tho, but the cam on the N93 is amazing, especially the video.
check this...
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
right bud. in your html you want the following code for the basic layout structure (tableless design) note that the wrapper starts and ends before and after any other bits which are sat inside of it:
<div id="wrapper">
<div...
orange has gone now iv ended the contract under their 14 days money back guarantee terms.
gonna go on PAYG for a while, still have 30 days to sen the phone back yet.
Dunno if to hang fire for a different model phone or to go with O2 with the N80.
There is an N83 coming out early 2007 with 5mp...
Its suprising how many people have unsecured networks, iv picked up loads before.
My mate set his laptop software scanning for unprotected network on his way to work and back and picked up around 20.
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
are you using the table for the layout of the page?
I would seriously advise against it, as they cause more problems than they are worth. You want to be using tables for tabular data only, stick with DIVS and CSS for layout structure...
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
Yeh I wouldnt bother using WYSIWYG for designing payes. All you need are the div id's and classes, and the divs in teh right place, and the CSS does the rest. Obviously you have to know CSS though :)
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
btw, I use dreamweaver to write the html and css, that way you can see what your pages look like whilst building them. You can also preview in various browsers too. I basically make a few small changes, see what they look like in 3...
Re: trying to get my head around CSS!! AAARRRRGH!!!!!
CSS is great. Its main reason for existance is to simply split all of the code from the design. That way your webpages are a lot cleaner, with less code, as well as being optimised for search engines and also to increase page loading...
Tom,
I searched the internet, and found out that Orange reduce the image size of incoming MMS images, as do Vodafone I think. Obviously to reduce their costs as MMS are charged per message not data size.
I've sent an image to my mates O2 phone (both Nokia N80's) and it came through large...
thing is they worked fine on O2. they were still reduced but to a respectable size that looked fine on both the phone and on the pc (about 640x480 i think)
The problem is Tom, not me sending images out, but receiving them. My bird sent me some pics of her easier and I could hardly make them...
yeh that the forum i saw it on!
orange w**k lol! reckon this is the icing on the cake for me to fuk them off tomorrow now. seriously.
might hang about for the N93 on O2 (2009? lol) and use PAYG till then
im confused about all this crap lol!
im complaining to orange tomorro, iv already got a 2 page letter to send to them regarding their service up to now!
sneeks found out mate its orange that scale them down when receiving MMS images.
proper gay that is, not happy with that! iv still got 5 days to cancell this contract, tempted to fuk them off as iv had nothing but hassle
sneeks -
first one still tiny but file size is 37kb
second one still tiny but 10kb this time.
wonder why the one i sent you was larger! i had it set on restricted mode and large size.
iv since changed to guided mode and original as the image size.
ok iv changed my settings to guided mode now.
adding an image to mms said that the recipient may not be able to receive such a large file, then after it inserted it it said image size reduction also reduced quality. iv sent a test to 172beast see what happens
sneeks. mine was received by you at 32kb but was really small on the screen. even when i saved it to gallery it was tiny.
I dont change cam settings for pics, i just send any pics in my gallery, which are all on full res.
