Recently got myself a great 172, I can hear a whistling noise and from searching on here it's the hole in my driver side wing mirror. What the hell do you guys use to fill it up and stop that bloody noise?!

Jonny, from that that you've just said though, can I just use the decoder ring that's on the car currently ?

Got the key barrel, but leaving my original in and using my original key blade. Do I need the decoder though?

So along as I've got the ecu, Uch, and matching key fob it'll work? Dont have to arse round with key decoders or plugging to into electrical config machines etc? Hardest part the brackets? Thank you all

Evening all! Had a headache recently with my Uch, it's broke. Bought an entire set of ecu, Uch and key fob off a 2002 172 (mines 03) which I've been told will fit fine as a straight swap. Lad at renault is doing it for me as a foreigner but doesnt need to plug it in to any config machines...

So a very noisy loud rackety type sound then?

tech at renault has told me its definitely the uch as when he plugged the other one in eveyrthing was fine, what a bloody headache!

The unit I bought was never really fitted, it went in then the Renault tech realised the keys from the 2nd hand set id bought weren't transferring a signal. The flickering is just noise coming from the fuse box, however when my passenger puts their foot underneath the glove box it does stop...

Hi all, ha some problems with my Uch so picked up a 2nd hand Uch, ecu and key fob tool it to a Renault guy who told me the keys were either broke (not transmitting a code) and or off a different car, and the ecu case looked different to mine (from a cup to a normal 172) What should I do...

As the title says, I picked up my 172 and it's got crappy carpet mats inside and I'm after some genuine (or very very close replicas) looked on eBay but wondered if anyone had any recommendations or past experience? Cheers guys !

i had what sounds like a similar problem with my old 106 gti and that turned out to be a coilpack issue, new one and it was sorted, although deffo check the water issues before investing in anything !

haha, that was a massive mistake of mine selling that car it was immaculate! spent a fortune on quality parts for it too!

No mate, got two key fobs at the moment. So itd be around £100 difference but both easily done, just one with warranty and one without.

Bloody hell Ive looked at using them before! The seemed reputable and their website seems to back this up too!

Are they not £300 plus fitting for a brand new one? Ecu and Uch with key fob for £100 plus fitting? (is it just a case of switching them over?)

Out of curiosity what happens should a cambelt job not be done properly? Just a piss poor running engine or any major work?

The fuse box intermittantly seems like it's having a fit and headlights flicker, indicators will stop working and windows won't work. Today I had the alarm going off after unlocking the car with the key fob! Is it just a simple switch them over job? P.s. From your location/name it looks like...

Think I'm going to need a new Uch for my car and looking at the cheapest way of doing it. I have seen kits on eBay which compromise of: ecu, Uch, decoder ring and key fob. Is this all I need, then obviously get it fitted? No new ignition barrel needed? The kit is £160 and getting took off...

Mine does it slightly when I first start up, gearbox feels fine when changing, no clunks or harsh sounds/feelings
