The one thing I'm struggling to click with, is the lack of sensation when the grip is almost lost. Opposite lock / maintaining a slide is something I'm very good at IRL.
Jealous of those shift lights!
I sold my old Evo weekend before last, and that's the last human interaction I've had that hasn't been my wife/kids. Did it with gloves on, no hand shakes, etc etc.
Looking back, it probably wasn't worth the risk. But, on the other hand I'm grateful to have the cash.
My first track-day was in 1999 aged 14, with the old man at an LTR/MLR day at Cadwell and I had many a Spa trip with them in the mid 2000's. Great times. But, times change.
It began with Darin, who founded the Lancer Turbo Register, which catered for the Lancer 2000 Turbo long before the Evo's were on the scene. He ran it for years and years through its boom and bust, then eventually sold it a couple of years back to VS as @R3k1355 said.
I’ve known Darin since...
Had a bit of play with XBOX/PC2 last night, did the first couple of career races in the Ginetta G40, what a fun distraction this is going to be! The wet is a real struggle because you use the seat, G, and your bum to sense grip, and that's completely missing. It's very different to any driving...
You've got a lot less 'toddler crap' in your office though, fancy chair or not. :)
Looks great though, I've never really been a fan of F1 games. Prefer road-car types, but then I've only ever been using a game pad until (later) today.
First thing I'm going to do is take an Evo 6 round...
Getting there, just waiting for the wheel to show up tomorrow!
Glad I took the seat out the car, the bloody thing is cracked so it’s written off and confined to being a play seat forever more now.
After a bit of reading the Power PC thread etc. on here I just ordered:
G920 with shifter on Amazon for £180.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LSKDGVA/?tag=cliospnet01-21
(Seems to have gone back to £212 already)
GT Omega stand on Amazon for £130...
If you're looking for any other reason than, 'they're shite' I can't really give you one. Most ISP routers are only good for 'modem mode'.
I know of only one person with the BT whole home setup and it's nothing but a buggy unreliable mess.
There is absolute bliss in never hearing the words...
