Lads, it was a riot. These things are made for it. [emoji56]
It got dry-ish towards the end of the day, but still squirming out of the slow corner exits.
Then only you can make the call mate, you'll probably get a better price in early Spring, rather than selling on the run up to Winter.
Yeah I was filming for most of the day, not for my first massive catch though. In my mind it was reminiscent of Mark Higgins / WRX / IOM TT. 😂
It...
Tuck it away until spring, then decide?
I was just out at Donington on Thursday; The Evo was an utter hooligan, it loved it. Greasy surface, 888's, AWD, four wheel drifts a plenty.
The standard engine mounts on the 1*2 are terrible. I have no experience with regards to the MK4, you'd hope they learnt their lessons!
Buckets, yeah I think the one's I had were Monaco's or something, horrendous things.
Favourite mod on the Clio: Vibratechnics engine mounts. Literally, the best thing I've ever done to modify any car. No more gearstick movement, no more engine trying to come through the bulk head, no more wheel hop.
Why any one replaces OEM mounts with new, s**t OEM mounts is beyond me.
Worst...
Dying coil packs tend to miss under heavy load, so that should help.
They have a rough idle, in the main.
The acoustic valve is probably stuck/held wide open, which isn't a concern.
Chop the standard engine mounts out for decent Vibratechnics ones, the OEM ones are utter pap; even when brand new.
R888R for me, wear rate seems very good - though I'm pretty smooth and non-aggressive. Grip is excellent, if not comical on the Evo.
Nankang have a long way to go for me to ever buy them again. (Going back 10 years though) 😂
That size CS3 was the best 'road' tyre I ever put on my 172 Cup. I was truly amazed at the wet weather grip!
You are right, the Conti Sport Contact was the OE tyre for the 172 Cup, not sure about others.
Tweaks seem to be pretty good on TD prices tbh, certainly when bought as a set.
Unless you know a friendly workshop that can deal with Rimstock direct?
