The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Had any power cuts in that time? Has it been sat behind a surge protector?

Why is everyone fitting 15 inch wheels?

Close the thread there, that's the most concise CS thread reply I've ever seen.

    New Daily Beater

Outstanding shed. Some new 'old style' plates, and some back to black and she'll do well.

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Yeah, without anything to give you more clues it sounds like Mobo or CPU, TLDR, which chip are you on?

The Power PC Thread [f*ck off consoles]

Does it stick on a particular Q Code? Any chance there's an LED called 'CAT ERR' lit up?

Tyre ageing: its effect on material properties and structural integrity

It's frightening in general how much attention people give, to the only thing connecting their vehicle to the surface it travels on. You don't have to look very far in a car park to find a car whose tyres are cracking, and perished. I'm not sure how far tyres are tested as part of an MOT...

    New car Evo content

Just one seems to be enough financial suicide for me. I'm one whole year without a flat-bed though, so something has to be imminent.

    New car Evo content

It's working on it, don't worry. Welder and a cage in the near future.

    Porsche 997 GT3 Sean Edwards

Indeed a real talent, and a tragic loss. N.B: He’s the son of Guy Edwards, former F1 driver and one of the first on the scene to help Niki Lauda during his accident at the ring.

    172 cup alternator tensioner snapped

Whereabouts has the threaded bar snapped? Pretty sure I bodged mine at some point to sort the same issue, and just put a nut on the bar to hold it in place -- but we're going back donkeys.

90’s WRC Monte Carlo - proper.

Meh, the newest car I've owned is from 2004. :D

90’s WRC Monte Carlo - proper.

Group A was the greatest for me, road ready homologation specials available for 30k OTR. You can't buy anything close to what's on the stages, these days. Everything is a compromise to give as many toys as you can get for your monthly payment. As an ~8 year old, watching WRC with the old man...

Best Evo quote I’ve ever read. No compromise. Well, Evo’s 1-6 that is. [emoji23]

Haven’t looked what FK8’s are at the mo’, I think if I had to have one car to do it all, it’d be one of them. Although 4WD is immense fun when it’s greasy out. Out of your list I think FRS is the only permanent 4WD setup, the other two are haldex-y?

Few shots from my recent Spa / Ring trip. Absolutely loved it, 1200 miles and the car didn’t miss a beat. Brakes were juddery and the starter motor didn’t like being hot, but apart from that...

Getting a DTI on everything this weekend, then we’ll see. The car isn’t super heavy, and the workload is no more than these huge Alcons should be able to comfortably do lap after lap.

The brakes are a big pile of disappointment tbh. I put a 6-pot Alcon kit on the week before Spa too.

    What browser do you use?

Brave. https://brave.com/browser-option-a-uk_wbi954 Chromium based, but chops out almost all advertising by design, rather than plugin. I only converted about 3 months ago, and it gives you handy stats, like the attached. Also, has 'TOR window' mode, so you it fires up a TOR protected tab...

    Free fuel High Wycombe

It’s actually in Holmer Green, which isn’t High Wycombe. I’ve got no idea why sky chose that station, it’s a rubbish location!

It’s actually a completely different bumper, the splitter is bolted and self tapped into the bumper and bolted to the engine brace underneath — Only tested to 90mph, though! The fog holes are now brake ducts, with some nice direct airflow... Last chance for this brake setup before I go...
