You only get warrenty from a dealership really but you can buy extended warrenties from some companies.
tbh they cover hardly anything..... so not really worthwhile purchasing. Even the standard 3yr Renault warrenty only covers limited items. In most cases modifications invalidate that part of...
If you were a named driver on a policy you cannot use any NCD. As you were not the policy holder who accumilated the discount.
The new company you go with will ask for proof. This is normally your renewl letter from your previous insurer stating that you have accumilated X number of years.
IF...
The arch liners are what they say on the tin hehe.
They are the black plastic parts in the wheel arch. There clipped in and held by 2 torx screws. There about £25+VAT from Renault per side.
You can colour code your existing bumper that also looks very nice.
If you change your bumper you need...
AA / RAC dont have Clip machines, they are just standard diagnostic code readers.
You Engine Managment light was on meaning a code has been stored.
The Serv light is mainly a Renault Specific light. You maybe lucky on the off chance that a code has been stored but a Clip machine will be the...
Could be anything tbh....
If it hasnt lit up with anything else such as airbag, oil light etc i doubt it is anything to do with them.
Only way to be certain is to get it run over a Renault Clip machine, as the standard fault readers wont find anything usefull from just the serv light.
Check...
Should be able to pick up a relativly decent battery for about £45
Look around smaller shops rather then halfords etc...
They normally carry heavy duty ones in stock.
Yup the upper-mount is worth replacing.
There not that expensive from Renault and they do wear.
I got new ones from Renault when i came to install my coilovers.
Ive signed with plus.net just before xmas
Had no problems at all with them.
Gone for the Premier package, its been fine!
I did opt for the Monthly contract which is ace as im not tied in with them.
Ive been hammerin git during the off-peak hours and had no problems.
Overall the TomToms have a better interface and a few more features.
The pioneers are nice but expensive, maps arnt as much updated as the DVDs are only updated once a year and even then the teleatlas maps on them are a good time out of date.
Handy feature.....but ;)
1) Remember you can only use it "off road"
2) They can get problematic when trying to diagnose faults with your car!!
3) Insurers knock off the thatcham rating of any alarm.... in some cases such as a 172/182 etc may not insure you if you dont have a Cat 1 alarm...
Aye
Only things i would consider on them:
1) Insurance - not many companies liking them at the mo
2) They do start to shrink after a year or so from heat/cold
3) They have a tendancy to leak from the back by scuttle panel
4) Can be a pain to put on and get ligned up lol
This is where the lead goes.
Think you can get to it behind the headlamp.

Otherwise car stays on drive in Cov :(

Was up at 8am...... straight out in the garage to get cracking on it.
Got bollocked later as everyone was inside preping xmas dinner.
Got back onto it after, service complete.
EVERYTHING clean and tidy.
So over 48 hours ive done:
1) Complete Service by Mo-Tech (Oil, filters, plugs etc)...
On my MK2 PH2 i see mine goes from the battery terminal to the body just behind the headlamp.
Will need to remove bumper and headlamp to get to this properly.
Ive noticed mine has rusted slightly, so while its all off im going to clean it up and earth it properly again :D
While im back home i have access and time to clean and sort my car.
Dad sorted out the service for me and my usual checks.
Then set out to clean a few things on the car....next thing you know ive got it in bits cleaning the rad, arches, behind the lamps, slam panel etc...
Looks much tidier...
Its probably a specific unit aerial you need then.
Try looking on the manufacturers site. (May cost more then a normal aerial obviously)
If not get a pic up on here so we can see the connector.
CarAudioSecurity sell car specific aerials for other brands, you can also pickup universal ones.
