Trophies had smaller struts the same ones used on the Clio v6. As said above though BMW 1 series struts fit.

The one with white F1's? I'm itching for another 172.

Possibly mate but I couldn't give an opinion on that as I only ever had the springs on standard damped Sachs.

Mf springs are rock hard I really hated them on my Trophy.

Re: Tim's R26 Banana Boost Bus Not really. Every car has it's problems though but the meganes are generally solid if they are maintained and kept well like any car. Window regulators failing is the most common problem I'd say.

Update. Not a huge amount has been happening with the car tbh I've kind of went through a stage of losing interest in the car until I got the Helix smf & clutch and new hub bearings fitted a couple of weeks ago by Mark Black. I have to admit I've fell back in love with the car now it drives...

Only got £2k you can't pick up decent ph1 172 from £1k upwards.
