mine was bought from a dealer and the listed price for buying a 172 from a dealer at that time was £5200 i also got a great part ex price for my old car which helped make make it that little bit easier to pay extra. i hate buying private i feel its too risky just my opinion though
i paid too much to be honest (£5300) but it had 43000miles on the clock fsh and one owner from new. i wanted it as soon as i saw it so was willing to pay that much. i'm so glad i did. :)
i'll get some wet and dry etc off my mate and i'll give it ago. it'll definately make the engine bay look a lot better. i'll post pics if i ever get time to do it. :)
it won't be anything major. there will be a cable that has come off the handle or snapped just have a look near the handle you maybe able to find it a clip it back into place. should be simple enough
just been to renault in bolton and as above they want £700 to do the cambelt. what has everyone else paid? i'm sure i've read people have paid around the £400 mark.
cheers for any help
my mates was a saloon lol it was great chasing audi tt and bmw drivers down the motorway in an e reg nova saloon at nearly 130. oh it was a private motorway
mate had a 2.0 16v nova and that was a quick as mine. a turbo will be quicker but 4.4 econds is a bit optomistic. plus you would have to be a really good driver to get it going that quick with out wheel spin.
looks like fun

don't race bmw 335's as these will make you look like a 1.2 as i found out much to the amusement of the bmw driver. also diesel audi's on the motorways will out accelerate you. ps nice car
i've got a y reg the steering wheel is a mess and the side of the drivers seat is a little bit cracked but apart from that the rest of the interior is fine. mileage has just passed 50k
hi i'm wiring my amp up and i've found the gromet to the engine bay from inside the car but how do i get to it from the engine side? is the only way to remove the coolant bottle and the sound deadening or is there another way?
thanks
