na the gold will be going for scrap as its just a shell. Will be selling all the contents from it though so when im finished ill give you a shout and the choice of what you want is yours :)

Tuesday 29th January : UPDATE
Not much to update on but thought i would add a couple more pics.
a sexy looking inlet manifold, fuel rail guard and engine cover ;)
Also sent away the gearbox to get checked over and refurb'd. Ordered a new alternator and new gaskets.

it cost me £2.9k which is pretty much as high as i would go. The rest of the stuff is perfect with full service history etc. The engine so far owes me £150 but soon i will be making money on buying that gold car ;)
Engine from the gold car (cup 172 engine) is going in the silver one. The engine from the silver one must have slipped a couple of teeth on cam belt as it has bent some valves and put a dent into one of the pistons. Will be selling parts of the silver engine as spares though if anyone is...

Looking at removing the front bumper, lights,wings this weekend ready for the engine. I have already removed the bumper and the lights before but not sure with the wings.
