Got to love scenesters spending out on banding and painting steels and then fitting budgets to them. New wheels are a definite improvement.

Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018 - July 12th-15th

We went for three days last year, by contrast I ignored most of the stalls and a lot of the new stuff and enjoyed watching the historic hillclimbing and the older formula cars etc in the paddock. Well worth the effort to go, but will likely leave it a couple of years before I go again to allow...

    Sensible Car. e92 330d.

It's funny going back from a diesel, I had a petrol again for a short while and it wasnt the cost that wrankled as much as having to stop every 270 miles for fuel! 42MPG is about where mine sits on a run and mixed use I see 38, but I'm rarely in stop start traffic

Anyone want some drugs? - New car content

The main thing wrong with the car is you bought the wrong one. Who the f**k buys a turbo diesel for an 8 mile journey from cold in traffic 😂 That said, it's still 20% or more down from where I'd expect, suggesting its taking an age to get warm, or your 'tuning box' is just bore...

Want to see a £57k engine??

Thing is, the basic engine wont be much bigger than any other, that's half a car. It's an M177, which with all the crap that's normally car mounted looks like this And as a bare block, looks much like any other Turbo layout is cool though It's just like all modern cars where the use of...

    Recaro Sportsters on track?

Does anyone use the 197/megane seats on track? Are they supportive enough? Looking at using some for another project ( 3 door and need rear access so cant go full buckets) but its a lot of money if they're not similarly supportive. Cheers

Yeah agreed! I'm happy to leave the money in BTC and see where its ends up in 6-12 months, it's just funny and frustrating in equal measure to have missed two opportunities to be massively up!

    Bitcoins (and other crypto currencies)

Registered on Coinbase on the 28th November, bought mixed BTC and LTC, both declined. Called bank and credit card provider (tried both) to no avail. Forgot about it for a bit. Linked my bank account on the 6th December as BTC was shooting up, made a transfer, from which I paid fees, took 36...

New car for the summer...... oh s*** wrong season.

I wanted all the running gear for a project so bought it, did 1500 miles in it in two weeks and then took it to bits. That said, I'd definitely have another, sitting over the back axle, LSD and a nice straight 6 petrol made it hard not to be a hooligan ALL the time.

New car for the summer...... oh s*** wrong season.

Meh, parking is easier with the roof folded and thus the whole journey should be completed with the roof folded.

New car for the summer...... oh s*** wrong season.

The other issue is that in most convertibles, rear visibility is terrible, so they're horrible to actually live with with the roof up

New car for the summer...... oh s*** wrong season.

TBH, having just had a soft top for the first time in November, its quite nice even when it's chilly, modern cars dont really suffer buffeting and the heater and heated seats mean its not uncomfortable
