Anyone give any reccomendations on a good wheel refurber in the south (preferably close to Essex) please!?
They will be getting done a different colour (probably matt black with silver diamonds) so anyone have an idea on a good price for four 182 rims?
Cheers
Jay
He better have been coming onto the island rather than off it - We've established that there are x3 182's on there now, 2x living down the same road!
That is enough!
p.s do Arctics actually look good? ;)
Haha - My pal had one (and got slapped on the wrsit for it a few times) when we were just driving - pointless things if you ask me!
That was 7/8 years ago mind so perhaps they are in with todays breed of boy racer/cruiser!
I was just about to post a thread on this but querying whether it was Petrol or Arctic!
I cant see a Petrol going up at £5800 unless the owner doesnt know what he has on his hands.
Indeed - Malibu CA (tracy and her massive jugs ftw), that 70's show, saved by the bell etc were ledge!
Havnt had much of a chance to pay much attention to it since iv been a worker.
Until you go to see them you will never know mate - when i was looking with a mate a few weeks back we were looking at higher priced ones and there were enough of them that were sheds (one was even a 55 plate)!
You can never tell by pictures in sales ads, we looked at one which had a blinding...
Who said anything about wanting attention!? He said he prefered the 'look'! lol
I do agree though, id get the very best car in my price range and that my friend will be a 172 - dont buy and save either, buy the best you can afford, look after it and maintain it and it will do the same to you!
Unwanted attention? Like what!? - in years of owning a 182 i cant say iv had unwanted attention because of the rear - the rear imo looks much better with the twin exhaust over the boggo 172!
On topic i doubt you'll get a 182 for that money - me and a pal were looking at them a few week back...
I see a truck load of 200's (literally) on the 25 last night but didnt get a great glimpse of the front unfortunatly!
Did the back end mind and the exhasts look larger and more visible than the 197 - DONT like the wheels at all!
No he's not, Inferno rarely looks good - the last i see on the m25 a few weeks back with no sun shining looked rusty at best!
Liquid Yellow (only on the 182 )
Racing Blue
Glacier White
LY and RB is a very close one for me!
Indeed, when i first got mine a few year back i tried normal and even some 99 ron fuel from the likes of Tescos but since only go for Ultima or V-Power (preferably this if i can find a shell)!
Car sounds ropey on anything but and it also gives a lesser mpg.
Typical responces!
Not my bag mate but depends one what you like really - i liked the combat 2 kit (or front) back in 2001 so its probably still one of the better ones if you like 'bodykits'!
If it were me 'liking kitted cars' id be sure to get rid of the lights for standard...
Leon or run of the mil VXR to be honest mate (use the left over money to make it better than the Nurburgring and have some change if need be) - i dont like the look of the Nurburgring at all personally!
Ummm - good enough mate, as you've seen there will still be plenty of oblivious RS drivers out there (me included if not knowing about the car) and the like expecting to leave you for dust! ;)
Looks very nice i must admit.
f**kabout £2400 takes the piss - i was paying just over 1100 fully comp a year younger than you back in 2004, how times change!
Pointless getting rid of what you have if youve speant so much dosh on it anyway - it is no doubt abit of a sleeper when compared to a standard!
You wont regret going Valver or even better 2.0 hybrid mate - I had one years ago when 19-21 so i shouldnt think the insurance would cripple too much unless things have changed drastically!
A barely modified or stripped out one of those in good nicks a blinder although hard to come by these...
