^^^Good point but i think its within a month or so that they will extend it further (so 13 month MOT instead of 12). You cant have one done after 6 months of it passing and then expect it to have 18 months as you already have another 6 left on the original MOT for example!
I have just had my...
My first 1.8 16v gearbox gave me 20k and lasted 97k on the car before it went.......Admitedly it was good car but still i wouldnt buy anything else and if you stick to that they arnt unreliable at all!
I would love to see how these 'unreliable' Renaults are treated prior to them breaking all...
Why should you do this mate? If he is confident/telling the truth ask him to MOT the car and when he says yes come to a verbal agreement on price pending it go's through the MOT as it should!
If he wants the sale he will do this and as has been suggested in this thread not many would buy it...
What he said is correct...Buy a gooden, look after it and maintain it and im 100% sure it will be just as reliable as more or less any hot hatch in the same band!
Absolute rubbish......I have had four Clio's now (three of them performance models and two of them not being a new type) and not...
Someone with money i suppose mate......I know mine has every option bar the comp stripes and the sat nav so it would've been a fair bit to buy originally and even when i bought the car 3 years ago it was up at silly money to start with at the dealer until i haggled to what i thought was a good...

Have a little look at specification - exterior features on the link above, it gives the price as £1150 for 'ID' plus the £325 for metallic which makes the £1500 (or £1475 if were being picky) i guess!
Why is everybody on the chaps back and taking the piss!?
I dont think he was saying he believed the mods he has made a massive difference as he highlighted them as basically bare mods.
Just seems like somebody who was happy with a result his car got from an RR whether it be wrong or not!
I dont know for sure if Sunflower was Shaun just saying its a possibility as that was the score with the 182's in the two colours mentioned!
I think the most likely possibility with the Sunflower 172's was that only a certain amount were given to the UK as a more exclusive colour what with...
Either that or it couldve been a silly expensive option!? Liquid and Petrol for the 182 was a 1500 quid option alone probably hence there low figures also!
Also a possibility that Sunflower wasn't actually an option and only a certain amount were given to the UK in the first place!?
Ian, personally i think 2.5k would be an insult to one such as Craig172's if its anything in the flesh like what it looks like in the picture....I can understand broken and repaired ones going for that but real top notch ones!? I cant see it myself!
They are what 10 years old? No more surely...
Rarer than a Liquid so if you find a good one expect to pay for it!!!
Exact numbers in the link under sales data and colour but i expect theres even less now - http://www.renaultsport.co.uk/roadcars/heritage/172/
Haha....So if you've got to 5 years or 72k get them done then!? Yes?
There is always going to be a doubt if you should be doing something at a certain time but dont....Its more so are you willing to take a chance and live comfortably with the doubt and the chance of the engine going tits up...
I asked the same question a while ago and the general opinion was get them done even though i cover just two to three thousand miles a year and the car is on less than 30k and always garaged!
I got them done yesterday and am a fair bit lighter in the pocket but i suppose i can drive with...
As said chaps it was a well renowned main dealer alternative (not some back street mechanic) that did it so theres no definate telling that it is out through wrong doing of the people that changed it as it may just be me.....The only way to tell for sure will be time and as suggested maybe a...
I hope so mate!
As said it runs alot smoother and is dead quiet......I was just a little concerned that something may not be right with the chip mainly due to the mpg running lower but i guess after a new tank and long run i will have a better idea!
Most definetly i would say...A well...
Has anyone experienced a change in car performance after the big service?
Today i had my cambelt/aux belt service yet although the car sounds mega quiet and seems to drive alot smoother the pull in the car seems quite different (not for the better).....Is this the usual or is it just a...
Paul, they look deep enough but iv felt them up and they arnt!!!
Thanks for the responces chaps, i will get some of this scratch x the weekend.
Cheers
Jay
Hi chaps
I'm in need of somebody to advise me of the best product(s)/way in which to get rid of a few small surface scratches on my bonnet as my beaut was the unfortunate victim of an in garage accident yesterday which has got me stressing out!!!
Didn't know whether this post should go in...
They are f**king idiots, the bloke apparently arranged me a pay as you go sim card (which of course i didnt ask for) and that apparently takes 25 days.
He was too busy arguing with me about why i had been so hasty as to leave Orange for o2 even though they had been as good as warned for...
Haha...Random biatches included!!!
I have my music running all day at work.......Not very loud but i have it playing and at the moment i have 3/4 of a battery.
Depends how much music and other stuff, films, videos etc you want on there.
Iv so far transfered around 1300 tunes over to mine and its only taken up around 4 gb so i probably couldve made do with the 8 however its always nice to have the extra and for what the phone costs on the £45.00 a...
