lets be honest here, unless you are doing something really naughty and drawing attention to yourself, then it's highly unlikely the police are gonna waste their time "hacking" into you pc.
maybe somebody should setup a honeytrap and draw some attention to it and see what happens.
my ati catalyst control centre allowed me to force that resolution.
that adapter won't do what you want to do. i have an identcal adapter as i bought it thinking the same as you, it causes problems when you use it.
you need a proper splitter box like this...
i have an identical setup, onkyo 606, optoma hd700x, and lcd tv.
you need a 1 input, 2 output hdmi splitter box.
you are best off having everything going through the amp, if you connect straight to the projector or straight to the tv then one of the 2 won't be able to display whatever device...
it's just for use with my media pc, so don't really need the numeric pad that often.
probably just pop to pc world and grab one for £50, think they are about the same price everywhere.
i want a cool looking wireless keyboard and the apple wireless keyboard seems to fit the bill.
anyone using it with a pc?
do i just need a bluetooth dongle to connect it?
any reason not to go for this keyboard?
i had virgin before i had be.
virgin is rubbish for heavy downloaders if you want to download stuff during the day. if you can restrict yourself to downloading after 9pm on virgin then their service is acceptable. they have stingy bandwidth allowances during the day.
with be you get full...
the popcorn hour is good, but check out an alternative NMT (networked media tank) called the egreat eg-m31a. it has the advantage of having e-sata connections.
well i can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not, but i used to work for an ISP so yes i would say that i have a rough idea what the problem is
it's already been mentioned before though.
the reason your line drops at night is due to the SNR dropping down too low, really anything...
reading threads like this makes me cringe at the amount of misinformation spouted by people prentending they know what they are talking about.
"living in an area full of old people ftw!!"
wtf? does your street have it's own exchange? old people residing on your street has nothing to do with...
i have the logitech harmony 1000. awesome remote, but all depends if u are willing to spend nigh on £200 for one.
the logitech harmony one is also supposed to be good but i've never used one.
if the logitech wasn't an option then i would have gone with one of the philips pronto range.
yes, i have a new onkyo 606.
it is awesome.
every non hdmi input is output via hdmi, so loads less cables going round the room to my projector. any non HD source can be upscaled too. the model i have has 4 hdmi inputs which is quite rare to have this many on most av recievers.
i just sold my 47" 1080i toshiba and got a 50" plasma, took the plasma back the day after buying it.
was getting screen burn and ghosting from having my pc connected to it, could see the start bar and ghost images of websites i had been viewing when the screen went onto a dark or black screen...
the xbox360 vga cable has a vga plug and 2 phono plugs. you plug the vga plug into your tv/monitor, and the phono plugs into your amp or tv.
glad my rocket science degree is being put to good use ;)
i see some tv's are starting to come with freesat built in. is it better than normal freeview other than the fact that it uses a satallite so will work in areas with poor freeview reception.
i just got a hamony 1000 and i'd highly advise you to consider the harmony one for real world use. the one's "hard" buttons are far more real world friendly than the 1000's touch screen buttons and having to fiddle round with pages of touch screen buttons.
not that i am unhappy with my harmony...
no pics at the moment, but my setup is.....
logitech harmony 1000 remote
onkyo 605 surround amp
optoma hd700x hidef projector with 84" image
46" samsung LE46A656 LCD
PS3
Xbox 360
Wii
Media centre PC
Freecom Wlan350 mediastreamer
Alphason stand
all i need now are some surround speakers...
i have a picture that i'll dig out from when i went to level 3 colo data centre in london.
nothing specifically to do with this thread, but it just reminded me of it.
anyway, that place was just immense, hundreds of millions of ££££ worth of servers and storage there. the photo i got was of...
i have just sold my tosh 47wlt66 as i wanted something newer.
so, looking for similar size as i have at present, 47".
would like 50" if possible. seen one in tesco for around £750 i think it was, not sure if it's 1080p though.
my problem now is that i have an HD projector and play most of...
or you could play it on a 360 as that is one of the formats it can handle.
i run my 360, a ps3, and freecom media streamer, and a media centre pc, and i use all of them at one time or another for different things.
