i'd go for hp purely due to their warranty backup. i deal with them all the time at work and they are the best company i have ever dealt with for warranty work.
yep, since the new firmware it is now awesome, i use it with route66 and the internal gps and it locks onto satallites in no time. can't wait for tomtom support! only downside is the battery life, but tbh if i'm using it for satnav then i'm in the car and i have a carcharger anyway.
where did i even mention my own screen?
the average person will have a 19" tft that you can get for £100-120. personally second hand i wouldn't pay more than £60 for that.
i did think when i typed that somebody would pipe up about it being a sweeping generalisation on the cost of a 19" tft...
my n95 connects via gprs and uses triangulation to speed up the process of getting a lock on gps satallites. so yes it does cost a very minimal amount for me to use my gps, and i use route66 on my n95 with the internal gps reciever.
lol, 2407wfp ftw!!
it's the most awesome monitor i've ever had the pleasure of using, and when i have to use other monitors at work or belonging to other people, they just seem tiny and bland in comparison!
ie is gay. firefox ftw!
can you ping the sites ip address from a command prompt? might just be a dns issue if you can access some sites, especially sites which you have used before.
i love vista, i run it at home on my laptop and desktop, both have 4gb of ram and c2d processors.
i find that the only reason people ever find vista slow or crap is if they have UAC enabled, or they don't have a hefty enough processor and enough memory.
i used to be a hater, but then i...
i use a nike+ with my new 3g video nano.
am gonna get one of these cases when it's available...

what's the point anyway? nobody remembers mobile numbers nowadays, they just put it in their phonebook and never actually see the number ever again, just the name.
for me this month....
8gb new ipod nano, and an archos 605 wifi 30gb.
very very pleased with both the nano and the archos, the train journey into work in the morning has suddenly become much less of a bore.
so, what have ya got this month, and would you recommend it?
just so you know, i have 2gb of ram, and generally 52% is constantly in use when the machine is just idle on the desktop.
this weekend i think i am gonna lob another 2gb in considering it's only £50 nowadays.
