I think they are beautiful looking cars that have aged well. I like the colour, makes a change from the oh-so-typical black and silver. They're also great value. I thought very seriously about getting one, but was put off by the interiors; i find all Mercedes a bit generic, dull and plasticky...

Nice move. Guy at work has bought the same colour combo but with 19s. Fitted a chav plate to it, something like J1 00 GAV. FFS. I'd put eibachs or similar on, as the springs will snap anyway (if they haven't already!), and then the 18s will suit it fine. Having said that, if you wanted to look...

They are very similar; Riviera was the updated colour used on the 997. Mexico blue is an older colour from the 993 era.

Wow, great work, especially with the rear arches and doors! I agree with some comments though, silver polished BBS would have been better, together with a recognisable 'classic' BMW M3 colour.
