Wanting some advice really, just recently got a carbon bonnet and I want to fit Aero Catches to it. Where is the best place to position them and where did you fit the securing bolt ?
I can imagine mate, bucket full of grit and a sponge and away they go.This one had 5 years of very poor washing, was tornado red I think, same as the mk5 golf gti's
150% Wind the collars down to lower the car.
I'm thinking of reasons why your car is sitting like that on the rear, Are you carrying a lot of things in the rear? Sub box or loads of crap?
Also If the front is sitting quite high it will change the angle the Rake the car has and make the rear...
The Silverline appears to be the same as my kestrel just re-branded?
I think you puffs need to get down the gym and lift some weights if you think a day of that is hard graft, I recently did 3 days on a polo gti and still had the strength to eat a takeaway ;)
I seriously want another trophy, stop posting pics dave!!!
For the OP, get a trophy, THE best handling car I've driven on the road, good investment as well as prices will soon start rising
Hi guys, my current kestral Rotary gave up on me the other day, will be looking to replace it in the new year, what do people recommend for around £150? I want something good with a good track record and no problems. Cheers
Few overdue updates with pics to follow: So Far: Rear Stripped - Lost 40Kg, 16" Superleggeras, Gaz coilovers - temp fixture until can get some billies or Kw's, Carbon bonnet
lol enough downforce to put an f1 car to shame, don't even get me started about the trophy spoiler, you put that on and the front end starts lifting, unless you've got a cup splitter, then it evens the load ;)
Wasn't particularly on my list of things to do as it's a cup I'd prefer to keep it looking that way, just losing weight here and there with things that I dont need or want
Great info guys, cheers
Has everyone upgraded their brake lines to braided items?
Also does the 4 pots require a better master cylinder? I only ask as I know 106's etc require them to be changed to feel the benefit of a big brake upgrade
I've just spend 3 days sorting a heavily swirled/hologrammed tornado red polo gti. Damn it looked good after and suprisingly worth all the hours I spent on it.
A General rule is pretty much every bodyshop will mop the paint using a heavy compound, mostly g3 which can leave severe buffer trails...
Well mate I got hold of another BTB exhaust for it, saving up for some billstein or KW coilovers, taking it off the road for the winter so going to be powerflexing as many bushes as I can, powdercoat the subframe and hopefully get some nice seats and 4 pots on before next summer :)
20kg to be lost in the air con alone mate, doesnt sound much but when the rest of the remaining furniture is removed it should make a healthy difference.
About it being a rare extra, to me it doesnt seem like a propper cup unless its got no air-con, that and the fact I dont even think it...
