today is the first day its dawned on me,
from this..

to this..
and tonight to this. sad times :( being picked up for the steel merchants in the week once the doors and bonnet are off. just got a garage full of panels to get rid of :(
Have found a 1.8 which I can use as a base, it needs a few £££ spent on paintwork but I'm probably going to Matt black it for cheapness and ease. I am the ultimate in cheap, the cars about £600
Pretty much right on how it works, on idle it is very slightly opened and when you press the throttle, the butterfly opens to allow more air flow into the inlet/engine
Ah if your not having any problems with it then you should be fine with some cleaner and a rag yep. Won't need stripping. With age they cam get sticky and you get idling issues, they are over £300 for new ph1 version hence why stripping them is worth it lol
To clean it properly you need to take it back to component form. Easy to do on a cable one and similar on fbw I think. I had tried cleaning mine a few times with no luck on the car.

That green one I asked you about the other day, my mate and I are going to pick it up next week for him lol. The black one I've found on egay is already caged, but only 4point. I can finish that properly though. The blue one in Plymouth is more likely and its the colour I love (I'm not fussed on...
Don't be so gay about too far away ;) right car is worth traveling for. Get more mx5's in here, I knows there's a load some pages back.
Am in the process of buying one but cannot decided between two. Only keeping the budget very small initially though
As said previously though mate, grippers use a setup which requires a rebuild after sometime as it uses a clutch plate type system. 310@5500 sounds healthy, should be good when ready :)
