I was thinking about getting a D50 second hand and realise they dont make them anymore but I see the D40(x) or something advertised for sale in shops... whats the difference? Is the D40 a better model?

I posted a thread up not so long ago about my Advent laptop which is around 3+ years old now... turning itself off when watching online video (i.e - youtube etc). The general feedback off the forum was that it is down to the fan inside the laptop which causes it to overheat and turn off...
