Was out driving my car last night and noticed a high pitch shriek from the bottom right hand side of the engine bay. It only ever happened when I was doing a decent speed in 5th gear, backing off the throttle over 4000rpm.... I thought it might be a wheel bearing.... Any ideas...

I've got the lower dogbone mount from ktec, taken away most of the knocking but does transmit some vibration into the cabin. Next ill change the two top mounts and that should sort it!

yeah i've never seen a road car accelerate like that...

The 197 has been hailed as a major disappointment by most of the motoring press... Lacking the feedback and pace of the 172/182's.. I agree that it looks quite nice and is better built but if I wanted things like better build then Id go for a golf gti... I had a test drive of a blue one...

What has the cup been lowered on and how much??

I dont think that was a t5. If you look closely the camera is quite high up on the police car and it bounces around alot. Probably a m class 4x4...

I just bought this from the renault garage in bearsden for a very cheap price of £15000.... An 07 plate as well....Goes a hell of a lot faster than my 172 cup ever did and it goes round the outside of any rs model in the twisties...

Had one as a courtesy car for 2 months when my car was in for repairs... The best thing I could say about it as said above is its long distance cruising ability. Bad handling, slow, bad scuttle shake, lots of rattles and the boot leaked really badly.... Wouldnt spend my money on it...
