Had a job interview planned for this afternoon which got cancelled at the last minute, so I decided to head for Dartmoor to fill some time. Mega greasy roads and dodgy white lines but otherwise alot of fun. Here are my efforts:
Ops!
Think I’ve just a little addicted to driving. Some how since Easter I’ve managed to clock up 10k miles on my 172/197. Trips around France, then back to Le Mans, plus the weekly commute to the Southwest from the Home Counties hasn’t helped. Just been going though my credit card...
Bit random but here we go....
Came back from my usual weekend away in the Southwest, and couldn't find my cordless house phone, assume the battery was flat after i'd left it off charge since thursday night.
Turned the house upside down to try and find it but no joy, so popped to Tesco and...
Can't remember where, but somehere to the east of Swindon heading westwards.
1x Standard black 182
1x Black 182 with Gordini stripes.
both about 3 minutes apart.
I think RS Clios are soon becoming the new Alfa in terms of the rollercoaster of emotions the owner gets!
Driving down with my girlfriend to her place in Cornwall, we find a cracking and the car couldn't be better. Fast forward 2 hours....
And we driving through what I'd described a bit of a...
Just sorted out my renewal on my Clio, and with all mods declared (Wilwoods, coilovers, Turinis') my insurance only went up £38! So I'm now paying circa £550 full comp and protected NCB.
Not bad when another company tried charging me £1205 for the same thing.
Obviously helps having 7 years...

Just been to get the Clio serviced prior to going to Le Mans, turns out the car will need a new clutch and gearbox rebuild within the next 6-12 months.
Spotted a black one passing the bowl at 19:15 yesterday, I thought these weren't out til next month? Looked nice, sounds nice and was on UK plates.
And by the engine note is was being run in.
2x Monaco 172's - spotted on H5
1x Flame red 172 - I passed you heading toward the concrete cows
1x Racing blue 182 - passing the bowl
And the a 172 Cup which had a little play with me, when turned off to Newport Pagnall.
Spotted this afternoon, we tailed you around the car park in the Mrs' silver Fiesta. Had a CS sticker in the rear side windows and silver/black wheels.
It gets mentioned on here and a few other sites about the Trophy being a 'future classic' every so often, which I find a little difficult to understand. To me the only classic is the orginal williams as every other RS Clio is a evolution of the orginal concept and not a fresh idea.
Discuss.
Going down a particularly 'interesting' lane yesterday I entered a off camber right hander at around 70mph and could hear a strange rubbing sounds. Once parked up I noticed that I've 'shaved' a layer off one side of my splitter (basically through the laquer and down to the weave). I presume...
S77 made the long journery from Bedfordshire to Cornwall for the weekend, which included a run over Dartmoor. Couldn't resist posting up this shot of car cooling down after a sheep worrying run to Princetown and back.
As a few of you will know my existing steering wheel is fooked, having suffered from the usually melting hand grip problem. i now have a direct replacement and was wondering if it was a simple job to swap the 2 over or whether a trrip to the local garage is required? my wheel is a non-cruise...
