Picking up my ph1 on saturday too! So so excited about it!
not so excited about the 6am start to go get it though! and the fact that the mate who's giving me a lift's car is s**t and will probably break down on the way!!!
providing collecting the new car goes well i may join you guys for the journey up. working a nightshift also and hoping for a cheeky track time slot so may just stay up and strip the car out early morning!
wont commit for definite yet though
Hi all,
looking at a cup this afternoon, but unsure as to whether this is a good price or not. from owning one previously I reckon its fairly competitively priced, but would like some further opinions
'52' plate
1 owner from new
FRSH
48k miles
Judging by the miles, age and condition I assume...
HN03 KYR
Awesome little cup. had many a great time with it, few track days too and it never missed a beat (apart from when i snapped the map sensor off :dead:)
would love it back, but sure the new owner is having way too much fun in it
danny, yep it is/was a bit of a dog, hence getting rid. shouldve learnt a bit more about them before diving in and getting the first one i looked at!
atouba - nah if i get another clio i'll stick with it. had so much fun in mine, and still dont understand why i sold it. plan would be to use it...
thinking i'll go outside the box a little with the next clio, and rock some Tillet seats or something like that!
got my eyes on a ph-quick and the 200 should be off tomorrow, so can do the mammoth trek down to collect it during the week :D
meh,
driftings fun n all, but i just prefer charging around a b-road in a lightweight car more than sliding about in a small barge. might having something to do with being surrounded by some epic roads and not that many roundabouts lol
Only real men drive cups. and real men dont care about dieing in a fireball through slipping on ice or boiling through lack of aircon!
You can lose weight if you sweat enough anyway, so its a blessing in disguise!
had a set in the car for a week tops, and found them incredibly hard, and as someone earlier in the thread has said i think, you very much feel like you're sitting ON them.
ghastly seats
Sorry but Bimarcos are one of the ultimate seat for a clio
absolutely loved mine to bits. pretty damn comfy and hold you so well. Think i may end up investing in another set when the next clio arrives!
.............To sell my 172 cup!!
well after a brief (3 month) flirt with a 200sx (most problematic car i've ever owned!!!!) I've decided that I miss the epic handling and character of a 172!
So am on the hunt for a ph1 to strip bare and use as a weekend toy/track ****
Will no...
chris, mines a touring but i'm probabaly gonna be shedding a few parts, as its getting BDC prepped for next year hopefully. so may have some doorcards going
getting some callipers for £30, so saves the need to mess about rebuilding, so just a straight swap.
bushes are: front lower arm, rear ARB, rear subframe ones look knackered, plus ball joints/track rods too!
mine's become a moneypit overnight!
a routine brake change turned into finding both front callipers were seized, pretty much ALL bushes on the car are fecked, and that there were a few bodges carried out by a certain well known jap tuner!
I'm beginning to regret my purchase :(
