I had this problem on a 306 GTi6 but that was cause my oil was low. Filled it up and sorted the prob but if yours has just been serviced then it should be full.

Pretty much what I did. The seats are not too hard to get off the runners just remove the plastic side panels to get access to the nuts. As for mounting the amp , I used self tappers into the cross beams , 2 using mounting holes on the amp and the others through some brackets I made up. I...
In answer to your question yes I did see the thing you mean. I didnt think it was a connector but thought it might be the side impact sensor for the airbags so stayed well away from it!
When you remove the samll plastic holder/tray from under the seat I used the screw hole for that to earth . Just polished it up with a light grinder and its fine. It also means a very short earth lead!
I fitted mine under the pax seat. It was slightly bigger than the gap between the two cross beams under the seat so it was mounted on some brackets I made up. The only way I could get the seat out was to remove it from the runners because the runners are bolted in from under the car and you need...
Just re-read your last post. I am still using the original door wires because without major surgery there was no other way and it sounds fine. I have also got it all set up so that it can be put back to original fit very easily.
Dont know how big the Rockford crossovers are but I have a set of Alpines that I put the tweeters in the dash and there was plenty of room under there for the crossovers. They werent adjustable so didnt really need to be accessible. If you put tweeters in the dash then it needs to come out.
I would think taht they are pretty much welded together and the only way aprt is destructive! If you are just looking to tint the lens then I have seen people just pour the paint in to the unit , swirl it around , than drain it back out again!
If it was more than just your alarm malfunctioning , which it sounds like it was , then water must be getting in somewhere it shouldnt and I would suggest that yiou have it looked at before everything stops working!
The trouble and expense of getting connectors is not worth it just do as Fred has done . Much easier cheaper and you can stil put the old speakers back in again!
Cut the adapter off. But before doing this check the old speaker very carefully one of the terminals should be marked + or - and from the old adapter you should be able to work out which wire is which.
On the MK1 you remove 7 screws .Three along the air vent under the windscreen , two at either end beside the side air vents and two under the top of the instrument binnacle. Then the windscreen side pillars need to be unclipped and the dash should then come out with a bit of wiggling!!
Actually taking the dash out isnt that much of a nightmare. As for the size not sure .My Alpine tweeters were very slightly undersize so had to be held in with insulating tape. Sounds a bit gash but works fine and you cant see it through the grills.
