It may be on the unlocked position when it should be locked. Disconnect the wiring to it and lock the car then reconnect it and try again. I had to do that when I recently replaced the solenoid on my 182 boot.
We had an 11 plate cupra bocanegra years ago and I really liked the shape and the little 1.4 was impressive when you ignored the fact it used more oil than petrol 😂. Dealer was also shyte so it didn't stay long. Still like the look of them and the lad at work has an 18 reg FR that's a bit better...

The airbag will fit no problem mate. I've seen pics before of pms exhausts being quite long in the tailpipe. Are you certain all the joins are pressed all the way in?
So as it has no airbag there's nothing to connect either airbag wire to, and yes the airbag light will be on. Two options, either find someone with an RS Tuner unit or Renault Clip software who will be able to disable the airbag in your ecu which will turn off the warning light or buy a couple...
