I agree, plenty of FIA-approved cages are bolt-in.
What I want to know is, are there any bolt-in cages that don't need mounting plates welded on?
Does the safety devices rear hoop just bolt into existing holes or do you drill through the floor?
D4ve, how do you fit the SD rear cage? Do you just drill holes in the floor or does it use existing holes?
Why does it require plates at the front and can this be avoided?
Picked up my 2005 182 a couple of weeks ago and just love it.
Plan to do a few slalom events and track days in it so looking at bolt-in roll cages.
Are there any out there that can be bolted into existing mounting points or do I have to weld mounting plates onto the car?
