i was unware of them making the mk2 ph1 with a 1.2 16v engine? If this is true then its the mk2 ph2 in which i reckon it should fit with no probs, hopefully Ben R or someone will post a more positive answer

Really worth ringing these companies and not using their online thing! coz u will always get cheaper online! But 1800 is an alright quote... most places just wont insure me on my 1.2 16v thats modded!!!! and im 19 nearly 20, no ncb, 1 crash, 2 years driving experience.

yeah but its still like 3 seconds off the 0-60 time.... and maybe he doesnt want somet that big, just somet a lil more nippier and still cheap to run! I would assume it still uses the same wiring loom and same engine mounts so not exactly a hard job...although someone eles should be able to...
