Ah right I see, I've nothing to compare it to it drives the same since I've picked it up (excluding the problems). it drives a whole lot better than my 61 plate 200k mile transit and in some situations it cruises better than the mrs Abarth lol

Yeah its not great is it, still cheaper to run than a petrol so can't complain. If I've been driving for a few hours it will kick in but thats not very often maybe once every 2 weeks, I mostly do short half hour drives.

Read some not so great reviews saying the battery isn't great and the motion sensor can is the problem being overly active... possibly back to the drawing board.

I'm the same I've got a single camera at the front of the house that saves to a hard drive, but logging on to view it is a task at best.. plus it's about 5 years+ old now so it's not new technology. Unless anyone suggests something better I may just bite the bullet and go for that.

No idea on the first question. Not sure on how much cheaper to buy the build Cost of this was £32k however it's a lease so doesn't really matter, the golf R I wanted to lease was a good £200 a month dearer if that helps.

Thanks mate, yeah it's 7speed dsg. I didn't even contemplate a gti to be honest it was this or the golf R. But it was too long to wait for the new mk7.5 R so settled with this.

Mine so far has seen high 30s - 45ish once its run in is expect 50+ I've done a lot of back roads to and not a whole lot of motorways to see the 39mpg range doubt you'd see the same in a gti
