The difference isn’t when normal driving, I can take this a blast over some lovely Scottish backroads every weekend and still see 30+ mpg and won’t drop below that, I simply couldn’t do that in a GTI.
Not to mention the GTI’s god awful red decals inside and out. Stick kick myself for not...
I love how it looks and to be honest its a really nice place to be while driving, the problem I think was I had my heart set on an R and it was just too long to wait at the time so settled for this. Coupled with all the small issues I've had I don't recon I will be in a VW any time soon after...
Ah right I see, I've nothing to compare it to it drives the same since I've picked it up (excluding the problems). it drives a whole lot better than my 61 plate 200k mile transit and in some situations it cruises better than the mrs Abarth lol
I will be honest mate I'm not in the know, however that was back in 2015 and I'm sure the defeat device they had in the 09 - 15 cars was just to fool the testing system that read the emissions, I could be totally wrong.
If you are asking if its slow.. a golf R would walk away from it, a 1.4tsi...
Yeah its not great is it, still cheaper to run than a petrol so can't complain.
If I've been driving for a few hours it will kick in but thats not very often maybe once every 2 weeks, I mostly do short half hour drives.
Total mix, I used to take my van home from work but now that I've moved house I do a short 8 mile commute most mornings. that brings it down I recon.
Weekends and evenings can be anything from stop start around town and short blasts on the motorway.
It pretty much gets driven every way you...
Sorry not been on here in a while, have around 11500 miles on the car now not without a few issues.
The car went in for a squeak while using cruise control, turned out to be a stone stuck behind the disc. However they diagnosed a noise on startup that meant the car needed a new modified...
This is my issue I want a camera on the front of the garage overlooking the drive. The garage at its closest point to the house is 6m away then to the camera easily another 6 - 10m. So would need a load of cabling, then the other camera is for on the front porch witch is at the other side of the...
I really like the look of the arlo system but reading some reviews on the battery's etc it might not be best for me! However in every other way they seem great. Do you have rechargeable battery's in yours?
The other system people have been suggesting isn't really great for me as I'd have to...
Read some not so great reviews saying the battery isn't great and the motion sensor can is the problem being overly active... possibly back to the drawing board.
I'm the same I've got a single camera at the front of the house that saves to a hard drive, but logging on to view it is a task at best.. plus it's about 5 years+ old now so it's not new technology. Unless anyone suggests something better I may just bite the bullet and go for that.
Looking to add a couple of cameras to the front of my house at the door and at the garage/driveway.
If I can fit them myself that would be ideal so something idiot proof to set up would be great.
Was looking at mostly wireless systems however can be swayed to a wired system if it's the way to...
No idea on the first question.
Not sure on how much cheaper to buy the build Cost of this was £32k however it's a lease so doesn't really matter, the golf R I wanted to lease was a good £200 a month dearer if that helps.
Thanks mate, yeah it's 7speed dsg.
I didn't even contemplate a gti to be honest it was this or the golf R. But it was too long to wait for the new mk7.5 R so settled with this.
Mine so far has seen high 30s - 45ish once its run in is expect 50+
I've done a lot of back roads to and not a whole lot of motorways to see the 39mpg range doubt you'd see the same in a gti
So after buying a corsa Vxr that I planned to do a few things to and it bit me in the backside, I decided enough was enough with buying older cars it's just not in my blood anymore to be messing around with things.
So here it is, indium grey golf gtd.
Dsg
Optional art velour / half leather...
These things happen I'm not overly surprised, it would have been this or something else.
It will be compression tested early this week to check its not a piston 4 issue and take it from there.
I wanted an Astra when I got this for the childish noise but couldn't get on with the interior...
