I thought I'd be nice.........
I've just bought some nice .pdf versions of the guides on ebay and being the caring sharing gent I am would like to get them uploaded somehow on here so paid members like myself can download themselves a copy for free. Hopefully the info contained will be of use...
Started a new thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=414319
However I've been trawling through search results and cant find any started by you relating to a fitting guide......? Do you remember what it was called per chance or a linky?
Guys (and gals) I'm looking to fit my Cup with standard Xenons from a FF 172/182.
I know I'll need the washer system and auto leveling to be legal, but I'd like to know exactly which parts I will need. I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of what is needed.
There is mention of a level sensor...
Assuming the 16" alloy is a 7J (7" wide) you can fit either 195 or 205 width tyres.
205's will give you a slightly wider contact patch on the road, therefore slightly more grip. ;)
I found this out after fitting my 195s lol
Not sure on the impact on the tyre height, as it is a percentage 'in...
I've just bought some sportlines, I'm assuming I can fit them in the same way as above? With no spring compressors?
I have 2x 2tonne trolley jacks so can do the pair at the back at the same time!
Also with the front springs will I need spring compressors to remove the old and fit the new?? Can...
Sorry about hijacking your thread but I'm looking to fit my Cup with standard Xenons from a FF 172/182.
I know I'll need the washer system and auto leveling to be legal, but I'd like to know exactly which parts I will need. This thread seems to have the best idea of what is needed.
There is...
Mine does it too, i'd say its more like a whine from a quiet supercharger tho (lol).......from about 4, maybe 5k (I dont normally look at the rev gauge whilst driving lol) when on the power above 1/2 throttle.
However my wingmirrors whistle too......but thats a different noise and is easy to...
Most garages and shops/motor factors have a handheld tester which they plug onto the battery.......tells you instantly if its the battery that has died.
To me it sounds like you have issues with your battery, but the reason for the battery fail could be alternator failure, or lack of charging for some reason. The fact your head unit was affected and your external lights were dimming makes me think that, and that it isnt ECU management issues.
I...
N.B. If your discs are corroded onto the hubs (like mine were):
I've been told if you can get the Torx screws out, find yourself a couple of bolts of the same thread and pitch.....but that are longer. If you screw both longer bolts in and once they are tight, give each a half turn in sequence...
+1
I heartily agree! And my car is matching yours Mish, got my Broom Yellow badge on too ;) cheers for that btw!!
Seeing your car just makes me want to lower mine, yours looks great! Not sure the pink dice would match my eyes tho........
If you do get a call, you can say no.......
If they quible, tell them you want to get some independant quotes done first, and if you cant do it yourself find a garage which will charge you about half the price.
You are not obliged to get the work done there.
Have you tried going to Tesco's website and doing a new quote with them........I've never taken a (posted to me) renewal price from any insurance as its always cheaper as a 'new customer' through their website. I've rang up before and said to them about it being cheaper on their own website and...
The mating surface between the alloy and hub needs to be unpainted and 'flat'......
Also I fitted my new turinis from speedline........cup ones have 38.5 offset, and my new ones are 35.....and they have a slightly wider track.....
So smaller number for offset = wider track (alloy sits farther out)
This is a known issue, as the stealth is a bit too heavy for, as mentioned, cheese (more likely a soft cheese like brie :rasp:) mounts.......
I sorted mine by loosening the clamp between rear and mid section, and loosen the rear box strap (that the rear hanger is attached) and rotate/twist the...
Bit of an update.........road legal pressed plates!
And one small pistonheads sticker for now........will get around to fitting the 22"s in a month or so when I start with the track days! Added my membership renewal 'Cliosport.net' sticker to the inside rear window too!
Could someone clear up for me if there are any differences in TBs and accelerator pedal assemblies between the 172, 172 Cup and 182s please....??
I spoke to Steve79 to possibly source parts and he suggests the 182 cruise control models ones are different somehow? Is this correct and what are...
Yep, sounds the same as mine......I intend to swap out both components, as I'm not sure which is to blame, and either are not too expensive to get spares for, however the diagnostic code result should tell you which bit is causing the problem for you........
Have a search for 'limp mode' on...
I'm having the same issue, seems my trouble is throttle body or accelerator pedal position sensor........apparently a common issue.......get you car plugged into a diagnostic machine, will have throttle position errors if this is the case!
Think my issue is connected to the standard throttle body issue, went to a friendly garage, who told me there was error codes refering to the TB and to throttle position.....suggested to give it a good clean with some carb/injection inlet fluid or spray.........
Now getting misfires when cold...
Tried googling it and got a series of generic OBD-II code info, the best info from this web-pdf: http://highlanderclub.ru/files/manual/04/21acxt2c/cip07111.pdf
My interpretation is that it sounds like the sensor is giving a 10 degree level output or a 150 degree......so the sensor is most...
I keep getting it kick in more frequently now......is getting annoying and potentially dangerous! Error code is giving a reference code B0500 (pd) connected to the p0711 code.....
Help!?!
Going to have a look for sensors under the bonnet tomorrow and see if disconnecting it sorts the...
